The current version of this mod adds invisible walls to some nordic ruins (a side effect of adding light sources?), thereby breaking certain quests. It's hard to recommend this mod under these circumstances.
Hello Gopher! Could you please review mod "The Deserts Of Elsweyr"? I think that the mod has a lot of potential, but this guy needs somebody to work with. Thank you for your time
I tried this mod and I have to say that it has helped me a lot because I am using Climates of Tamriel and it was just so dark (even in vanilla settings) and this mod sort of balanced it out. Climates of Tamriel is a good mod as well but I just wished they could have made it the tiniest bit brighter since I cannot change the brightness within my game while that mod is active. I do like the nice touch of the windows changing light as the day goes on as well as the smoke and adding light sources to ACTUAL light sources such as the candles. There was no fps drop on my system which is pretty weak as it is so that made it more impressive. I am not a fan of ENB so this with Climates of Tamriel really gave it that realism that I wanted to see.
Looks gorgeous, but I've already had a request to change my mod because the new lights in this one cause massive flickering! How many more house mods are going to be affected like this? I'm guessing lots!! Man I hate the lighting limits in this engine!!! GRRR!
@Nadimos, nah, not pointing to any specific person. my comment is merely an insight for some people who, like me, did not know how to maximise resources.
some people might be playing with hardwares that did not have optimal configurations and are oblivious of it.
as to the mod itself, yeah i do agree certain area are slightly brighter than normal. personally i think they are acceptable. probably cant have the best perfect scenario. with this mod, it's either use this, awe by the lights, live with holes and invisble wall with some bright lights or live with vanilla lightings.
Incase you were talking to me. I feel my brightness is quite fine. Never had any issues with it. Look at the screenshots on the mod page. It looks like there are some overblown highlights and they are not natural by any means. Takes me out of immersion. Otherwise i like the mod. Should have been in the game from the start. Seems they are being pressured at Bethesda, so they left some of the detail aside. Maybe research told them most poeple dont notice or something.
