Probably one of the worst things about steam sure you can activate it, but that doesnt mean you can use it! really gets annoying!
I have a bunch of things I want to fix too I mean how do guards know Im good at certain schools of magic without them seeing me do it?Very confusing especally when my character is a murderous necromancer they shouldnt be commenting on my healing abilities ">
Sadly however the patch wasnt released today id say that will be out in the next couple of days with CK next week, better late then never
There is one more thing that can delay it: Steam. Regional distribution through Steam is sometimes... iffy, to say the least. For example, in my country Skyrim is distributed through retail shops as an ordinary boxed title but it is not available for purchase through Steam (!!!). Steam accepts activation but when you want to visit the Store page, it displays the "dreaded" "This title is not available in your region" message.
Anyway, I'm also counting down. I have a bunch of dumb things to fix in the game (removing annoyances like guards shouting "hands to yourself, sneaky thief" when I'm the Thane of that city, and so on. ).
EDIT:1 Hour!
True but I think is has more to do with since Bethesda made this engine they built it to accept the method of coding they are used to then as "Camonna Tong" just said from there they could still use much of the old code. However I will not argue with the point that the old code might be at the heart of a lot of Skyrim's problems
Edit: This week they are planning to release it. Gstaff said next week twice, then this week a couple of times too. I think he is tired or something.
Also about the Creation Kit and Gamebyro thing. It is a new engine, but it has a lot of the codes from the old one. Pretty much an engine can be a basis for something but with different coding it can be a totally different then others, or with the same coding on top but a different engine to allow it to run better or worse. A lot of games used the Gamebyro engine. It was the coding that made them act different. And Oblivion's coding was put into Skyrim on top of the game engine.
I also miss how some of my mods no longer work because they're not yet compatible and how the game now crashes all the time. I hope things get straightened out soon.
I really hope you guys are right
That's why I think it will be released in the next couple of days, if not today...let people get their hands on the CK, start fiddling with their mods and when the 7th arrives, most won't hardly even notice the arrival of Kingdoms of Amalur.
Apology excepted
Sorry about that remark, I was in a rush (had to do some shopping before rush hour) and that remark came off as if you tried to tell me something that I considered evident.
