About this mod

Zaria's Piercings for Humans, Mer and Khajiit (nose ring, nose-to-ear chain, ear bells), separately craftable in silver and gold, and optionally craftable from base jewelry items instead of ingots. Now compatible with Unofficial Skyrim Legendary Edition Patch. Also includes optional reduced textures.

Permissions and credits
Zaria's Piercings, Expanded, USLEP-compatible
v. 2.1
assembled by Darklocq, from work by magnemoe/Zaria, Bronson, and DubstepKid

This is a replacer for and merger of Zaria's Piercings by magnemoe/Zaria (and Bronson), and of Zaria's Piercings Retexture by DubstepKid (which provided a silver instead of gold version, to go along with newermind43's piercing mod.  In this version, the silver and gold items are separately craftable.

Also included are optional reduced textures. No one needs multiple megs of texture data to render a tiny nosering; it's just a waste of VRAM.
And, I cleaned the mod, removing an ITM in the original that directly conflicted with the Unofficial Skyrim Legendary Edition Patch (USLEP or USLeEP).

Next, a Victorian-style maid hat (from Zaria's Maid Pack ) that was included for some reason but was misnamed as "Jade and Emerald Circlet"; this has been renamed to "Maid Headdress", same as in the maid mod).  Changed its crafting requirement from Leather to a Linen Wrap, since it is not made of leather.

AND there's an alternative ESP included, for those playing with crafting mods that have you craft new jewelry out of base jewelry like plain rings and necklaces instead of whole ingots; if you want that version, just overwrite the default ESP file with that one.

Requirements, Installation, Uninstallation
==========================================

No requirements, though these may not fit all head models.  While this is intentionally compatible with USLEP, that patch is not required. Nor is anything from the original mod or retex.

Remove the original version of Zaria's Piercings and the retexture if you have them, including Zarias_Pericings1.bsa and Zarias_Pericings1.esp.  That actually is Zaria's Piercings 2, just misnamed, unless you have a really old version.  You do not actually need to hunt down the texture files added by the DubstepKid retex, since we'll be overwriting them.

Now just install the mod as normal, manually or via your favorite mod manager. This version has no BSA file, but extracted and edited the contents of the original.

After doing so, if you want the reduced-size textures, drag and drop the additional Textures folder containing them into your Data folder and let it merge; it will overwrite the affected textures.

If you use a mod manager to install, you get the larger textures and the vanilla-style crafting (using whole ingots) by default.  The compressed textures and the craft-from-base-jewelry options are manual installs after the main install.

Uninstallation: Just remove the files contained in this mod; none of them are vanilla resources or needed (as far as I know) by any other mod.  WARNING: It is not safe to remove gear mods willy-nilly in mid-game. It is best to revert to a savegame from before you added the mod. If you insist on doing it, remove all of the items from this mod in your inventory and from any followers; maybe dump them in a random barrel. Leave the cell, preferably going alone to an uninhabited one, like some basement. Save. Quit the game. Restart the game, load that save, save again. Quit and restart again. Load the second save, and continue.  This is called a save-cleaning routine. It is not foolproof but it usually works for simple mods like this that don't have complicated scripting.

Boilerplate
===========

The real work in this mod is all by magnemoe/Zaria (meshes) and by Bronson (original textures), whom magnemoe did not credit.  DubstepKid provided a desaturated copy of one of Bronson's texture files.  All I did is copy and tweak some NIFs, then copy and tweak some item crafting entries in TES5Edit; took about ten minutes. None of these authors imposed any reuse/distribution requirements, so I impose none either.
