Winterhold is likely both the coldest and the poorest hold in Skyrim. This mod aims to remove the generic guard armor that Winterhold guards use and replace it with something that matches Winterhold's standing in Skyrim. This is NOT a replacer mod, you can still obtain the original Winterhold Guard armor by using the console.
I have added to their armor sleeves, a fur cape/cowl, and leather/fur skirts to allow the guards of Winterhold to withstand the harsh climate of their home.
My hope is that by using hide, leather, and fur as the armor's base (cheap materials), the armor will better reflect Winterhold's economic status. I have also changed the armor rating of the cuirassto be that of hide (20), but the gloves, helmet, and boots remain unchanged.
I took inspiration from Practical Female Armors (authored by JZBai) and made the male and females armors very similar. Feel free to check out that mod here: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/48160/
If the guards look to uniform to you, I recommend looking up Open Face Guard Helmets by Axonis: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/52602
Bear in mind that this is not yet ready to be worn by the player - I have not created the appropriate first person views.
