About this mod

This Mod edits two values from PURITY mod:

1) Reduces the "far fog distance" = The result is a more evident fog at the distance (helps to disguise ugly LOD textures).
2) Increases the "depth of field distance" = The result is a low DoF strenght similar to vanilla levels.

1) WHAT DOES THIS MOD DO EXACTLY?
"Purity - Tweaks" reduces the fog distant (far) value from the most PURITY weathers, to match vanilla levels. The visual result is a more evident dintant fog (see pictures). Those weathers with similar values between vanilla and Purity were not edited...
Also decrease the DoF (depth of field) strenght, by increasing the distance of it (to match vanilla levels).


2) WHY MODIFY PURITY? IT'S GOOD AS IS...
I made this mod for personal use for the following reasons:

  • First, I think the fog does a great job creating a cold atmosphere, even on the clearest days, and I like the visual effect it gives.
  • Second and most important, a closer fog allows to disguise the ugly LOD textures that become more evident with mods like PURITY (an usual issue of all visuals and enviroments overhauls).
  • And third, I think the DoF strenght from PURITY is too high so I bring back to vanilla levels.

INSTALLATION:
Use your favorite Mod Manager and put after "Purity".

UNINSTALLATION:
Just delete the mod with no risks. Just an esp.
