Considered the greatest pest that ravages Morrowind, these rabid-tempered flying reptiles can turn a quiet trip across the province into hell. During the fourth age they invaded Solstheim and began causing turmoil there as well, as they had done for ages in the land of the Dark Elves.

"Considered the greatest pest that ravages Morrowind, these rabid-tempered flying reptiles can turn a quiet trip across the province into hell. During the fourth age they invaded Solstheim and began causing turmoil there as well, as they had done for ages in the land of the Dark Elves.

With a modest wingspan, lack of legs, large fins on their torsos and a long tail, and especially sharp beaks, these noisy reptiles do not hesitate to chase their prey in groups that according to legend sometimes numbered in the dozens. This constant turmoil led Jiub to exterminate them for good on the island of Vvardenfell, which led to his canonization as Saint Jiub the Eradicator. Scholars naturally question the impact that the extinction of such a dominant and widely distributed species might have on the local ecosystem, but it is known that at least the Elves of this island had a few years of rest before the island itself turned to ash. However, Cliff Racers have remained widely distributed throughout the rest of the province of Morrowind, and have recently begun to appear in Solstheim, migrating on their own, as if making it their mission to torment the Dunmer wherever the elves find themselves.

According to legends, the Cliff Racers were responsible for chasing away the Dragons from Morrowind, before the documented era, more because they caused absolute annoyance rather than actual danger."

(*Who is Beastmaster Mihail? He is my avatar/persona within the universe composed of all my mods. He is the ingame author who writes the texts that are usually presented as descriptions for my mods. A former monster hunter, now a dedicated scholar, he is planned to be released as an NPC in late 2022/early 2023, doing the same job in-game as my descriptions do on Nexus.)

ATTENTION- Cliff Racers are not extinct!
The idea that Cliff Racers are extinct is a widely held error. Saint Jiub did not extinct the species as a whole, he only decimated the species from the island of Vvardenfell, becoming a saint because of it. The mentioned island, where we played during TES 3: Morrowind, today is covered in ash after the eruption of Red Mountain, however, Cliff Racers continued to exist in the mainland of Morrowind. In Skyrim, the young Nord Mjoll the Lioness has the following line of dialogue: "When I was young, I'd journey with my father on hunting expeditions into Morrowind. The cliff racers made for excellent sport." This line ends any discussion about a possible total extinction.

- 1 new creature: Cliff Racer

- 1 new ingredient: Cliff Racer Plume

- 2 new foods: Cliff Racer Tail and Cliff Racer Stew

- 1 new spell: Summon Cliff Racer Flock (Talvas Fathryon randomly sells the spelltome,
which can also be found inside Tel Mithryn Apothecary)

- 1 new disease: Helljoint, contracted from the bites and scratches of Cliff Racers (in game description-
"Inflammation of the joints causes pain when moving, thus reducing the patient's agility.")

So far no incompatibilities have been found between this mod and other mods.
(OBS- If by chance when installing several of Mihail's mods at the same time you are asked about files overwriting those of other Mihail mods or other authors mods, don't worry because they are just the same files shared between mods. I recommend that on these occasions always give preference to the files contained in my mods, and among mine always give preference to the mod you are installing last.)

The Mihail Monsters and Animals series aims to create and make available to the community the most complete set of creatures for TES 5: Skyrim, implemented in an immersive and unique way, with respect to the pillars of lore. Instead of pathetically just throwing models and textures in the game reusing 100% vanilla mechanics, the creatures made by Mihail have uniqueness and extreme zeal in their idealization and implementation, which will provide you with an experience that you have never had before in this area.

Mihail- model, textures, animations, loot, spells, game implementation;

Some assets used on this mod belong to:

Phiit- since the Cliff Racers use the animated object skeleton of the vanilla Hawks, attached via script to a skeleton of an actor creature, I used the most complex set of Hawk animations made by Phiit as a base to animate the model, thus giving animation to the neck, head and tail, since the vanilla Hawk animations only move the wings; in addition, I also made use of the Cliff Racer sounds provided by Phiit for this creature.
