(your videos and screenshots
would be very welcome)

Mihail Monsters and Animals is my new creature mod series. It will include animals, monsters,
undead and daedra to expand your gameplay in an immersive and lore-friendly way.
Since I don’t have many yet, I’ll be releasing individual mods for each creature, but in the future, I
will release a complete Mihail Monsters and Animals pack. Have fun - I'm at your service.

NOTE- if you create models and textures and you would like to see your great work here on
nexus, but you don't want to create mods by yourself, please contact me, i will be very happy
to include your assets in my mods. You will of course be credited for your contribution :)

CENTAUR WILD HUNTER hunting on Haafingar woods

"Centaurs are ancient and mysterious creatures, alternately worshiped and despised. Legends of their exploits range from the epic to the pornographic, perhaps for no better reason than that they have varied personalities. The Council of Artaeum (Psijic Order) have called the Centaurs true followers of the Old Ways of Tamriel, referring to the complex system of ancestor worship that  Artaeum tself espouses. All that one can certainly say about centaurs is that in battle there are few who are equal." - elderscrolls.wikia

About the Old Ways- "For the Psijic Order, the Old Ways, or the Elder Way, was the name for their practice; however, the term becomes mixed in "semantic quagmire" because the Old Ways was also referred to the Psijic Orders' religion, philosophy and beliefs, which may or may not be related to Mysticism. The Old Way, or the Elder Way, was a philosophy of meditation and study that could bind the forces of nature to an individual's will."- elder scrolls wikia

"Now first off, I know that the Centaur haven't really been touched on in previous games aside from Daggerfall, but they still exist in the lore (and looking at Legends, which goes into depth the tales and encounters of Cicero as he made his way to Skyrim's remaining Sanctuaries through the player/mysterious Brother/Sister there is even a card showing off the Centaur) and are found primarily in two areas. These two provinces they are commonly found in are Valenwood and High Rock. However, we know very little about the Centaur aside from this and one other fact, which I will get into later. Other than this, we have no idea how they came to be in Tamriel, what gods they worship, how they view the various races of Man, Mer, and Beastfolk, etc - just they they appear to be a sort of beastfolk with Man-like(races of Man) features and Merish ears going by art from the Elder Scrolls Legends.
Already this is sounding like nonsense, I bet - but hear me out. Now, what do we know about the Psijics? The Psijics practice the "Old Ways" - Mysticism. And as the book "On Artaeum" suggest, these Old Ways focus on manipulation of nature itself. Not the use of magicka, but nature - all with very similar effects.
And what of the Bretons? And the Bosmer? What do they have to do with this? Well, aside from the Aldmer as ancestors, what do these two have in common? They both worship, in different capacities mind you, Y'ffre (or Jephre to the civilized Bretonic citizens of High Rock) - God of the Song and Forest, the first Earth Bone, the first of the et'Ada to sacrifice themselves to give rise to the rules of nature and life on Nirn.
I mentioned there was another thing, one final fact, we know about the Centaur. I might as well share it now. According to the Psijic Order (as stated in the Daggerfall manual), the Centaur are "true followers of the Old Ways". These Beastfolk of unknown origins are "true followers" of the Old Ways - of Mysticism - which may very well involve the manipulation of nature. Nature being the domain of the first Ehlnofey, Y'ffre, who is worshipped by not just the Altmer, but (to a far greater degree) the Bosmer as well as (to a different degree and primarily by the various Wyrds or those who are in proximity to them in High Rock) the Bretons. The Psijics, also, have shown they possess more than just purely Altmeri members in their Order - as shown in Skyrim with the Bosmer Gelebros." - BlackWormDisciple on teslore- reddit

Centaur on The Reach

"I would argue however that Centaurs aren't exactly a product of the Old ways, but rather, practitioners since they began being a distinct race. According to the fragment "On Artaeum", the Psijics are practitioners of the "Elder Ways" which where passed on to them by the first race that inhabited tamriel. Most would agree that this "First Race" would be Ehlnofey, from which Mer came, other Ehlnofey that were elsewhere in Nirn are considered to be the ancestors of Men.The Aldmer are considered to be the ancestors of the Altmer and Chimer/Dunmer races, but not Bosmer. According to the creation myths of Khajiit and Bosmer, they share an ancestor race, the "Forest People" formless spirits, likely related to the Ehlnofey if not a group of these, with shapeshifting abilities and unstable physical forms. Azurah "spoke the first secret" to the moons, Masser and Secunda, which allowed her to change a group of the forest people into the Khajiit. Y'ffre heard the secret and told it to Nirn, and thus was allowed to change another group of Forest People into his own Bosmer. Now, if any of this makes any sense, I would likely assume that Centaur being kind of mer/man-ish and beast-ish, also come from a group of forest people that somehow stabilized their shape through some blessing of sorts from whomever they worship. Cultural ways as well as probably magical affinity would link them to these "Elder Ways"." - Sebastianm42 on teslore-reddit

"The history of Valenwood stretches back to the very beginning of recorded time: the date traditionally used as the start of the First Era is the founding of the Camoran Dynasty by King Eplear of Valenwood. The history of the land, of course, began long before the first year of the First Era. Before man or mer came to Valenwood, the forestland was a salmagundi of creatures and strange civilisations. Centaurs, hippogriffs, satyrs, minotaurs, giants, basilisks, fairy folk, hydra and intelligent apes all flourished there before the first Aldmeri stepped onto its shores. Indeed, the first challenge for the early Aldmeri was to rise from prey to predator in the forest's. As the Aldmer began to change their ways to match their new environment, adapting to the forest in body and mind, they became known as the Bosmer. In return for the patronage of Y'ffre, the Forest God (either one of the old ancestor spirits or an aspect of the true pantheon), they swore never to kill, injure, or eat any of the vegetation of the new home." - Imprial Library

"The "revelry" as the Ferryman had termed it took place on an enormous platform tied to the tree, wide enough to be a plaza in any other city. A fantastic assortment of the most amazing people Scotti had ever seen were jammed shoulder-to-shoulder together, many eating, many more drinking, and some dancing to a lutist and singer perched on an offshoot above the crowd. They were largely Bosmer, true natives clad in colorful leather and bones, with a close minority of orcs. Whirling through the throng, dancing and bellowing at one another were a hideous ape people. A few heads bobbing over the tops of the crowd belonged not, as Scotti first assumed, to very tall people, but to a family of centaurs." A Dance in Fire, Book II- Skyrim

CENTAUR LEGATE

As you can see, there is no much what can be said about centaurs, they appeared on TES 2- DAGGERFALL and TES LEGENDS, they are quoted on Skyrim and ESO, and thats all. I've posted some very interesting considerations about them on the quotes above, but thats all we know. And, this time and only this time, i will not develop much more their lore, it will remain open because im quite sure bethesda will develop them on ESO or TES 6, so, let they remain a mistery untill them.
I only will complement the quotes above refering that probably they have some sort of connection to Hircine, and maybe also a similar origin to the Minotaurs, but lets they remain mistery for now.

Well, this mod adds 6 varieties of Centaurs, a nomadic, wise and very powerfull beast-man race from the provinces of High Rock and Valenwood, to the region of the Haafingarn and the Reach. The ones that are now living on Skyrim are from High Rock, and are quite upset with the Nords cus they think they are no more honorable people (all the civil war thing), and they are corrupted and lost, on the hands of Thalmor, cus that a big part of them are hostile to the player and other npcs. They are not much common, but all do respawn. The common centaur and the centaur wild hunter all travel alone and will attack on sight. Some are associated with the Forsworn, who they think that have more correct ways of living, and they are centaur forsworn, you can find them with the breton forsworns on the forsworn camps. The other 2 are not associated with the forsworn, but are not against them too.
The other 3 variants serve the empire, and you can find them on imperial camps.
If you do the Civil War, some will fight against you (if youre Stormcloak) or with you (if youre Imperial), in the battles to conquer the forts. If youre not doing the CW quest, you will find them fighting regular bandits outside and they will be no aggressive unless attacked first. But, if you won the war to the Stormcloak side, imperial centaurs will be permanently hostile to you like the regular variants.
Imperial Centaurs are divided in Centaur Legionnaire, Centaur Commander and Centaur Legate.
