This mod allows you to return to Sovengarde by venturing through Purgatory.

This mod is designed to allow you to return to Sovengarde whilst somewhat preserving your immersion.
To get to Sovengarde you have to go to Falion's House in Morthal, he has a trapdoor which leads you to purgatory - all right purgatory isn't in the lore but it gives a reason for Falion being able to get to Sovengarde when he is an redguard.
In purgatory there are the souls of vampires waiting for their minds to die and there are dragon priests to protect sovengarde when Alduin is there who you have to fight through to get to a coffin which will lead you to sovengarde. Once you leave Sovengarde you will fall out of the bottom of the coffin and fall to the exit door. The floor of Purgatory is also uneven with some holes that appear covered up but you can fall through taking you to the entrance.

Install with a mod manager or extract 'Portal to Sovengarde - Trip through Purgatory.esp' into skyrim/data
Note: If you leave the halls of valour before you have reached sovengarde in the main quest it will start the dragonslayer quest
