Ever had to leave a nice-looking weapon behind because it was simply too weak to be used later in the game? This mod aims to let you use whatever model of weapon you want at Daedric strength - you just need to have the Daedric Smithing perk to create the weapon.

Ever had to leave a nice-looking weapon behind because it was simply too weak to be used later in the game?
This mod aims to let you use whatever model of weapon you want at Daedric strength. This mod is for those people who'd like to be able to choose a weapon to use throughout the game based on the aesthetic look, without having to compromise too much in terms of damage output.

It is just required that you have got the 'Daedric Smithing' perk in order to create the weapon you want. Basically, these standalone weapons will function as regular Daedric-level weapons in terms of the base damage they do. They will be temperable at a grindstone and enchantable at an enchanting table. They can also be sold to the same vendors that a normal Daedric weapon could be sold to. This mod includes weapons that are normally Daedric artefacts, but makes them into 'regular' weapons in that they can all be tempered and enchanted - as a result, the original enchantment the Daedric artefact had was removed from these weapons. THIS MOD DOES NOT REPLACE ANY EXISTING WEAPONS, IT MERELY ADDS NEW VERSIONS OF WEAPONS THAT YOU CAN SMITH (AND CUSTOMIZE) YOURSELF.

Weapons that are just as easily smithed, tempered and enchanted and that are at least Daedric strength, and/or have an identical look to one of the weapons already in this list, HAVE NOT BEEN ADDED.

The following is a list of the weapons that are added by this mod. Each weapon has been named after the original weapon it is based on, with a little ' +' added after it. Keep in mind that the weapon you end up smithing will likely have a higher damage displayed, because weapons damage scales up with the player's relevant skills and perks. The perk 'Daedric Smithing' normally requires that you have level 90 smithing (though you could add the perk using console commands if you really wanted to (player.addperk cb413)).

PLEASE NOTE: This mod was made for myself first and foremost, and I have all three DLC (Dawnguard, Dragonborn and Hearthfire). THIS MOD REQUIRES ALL THREE DLC. This mod was a pain in the ass to make and I did my best on it, I don't at this time intend to make other versions of it - as in, a version for vanilla only / Hearthfire only / Dawnguard only / Dragonborn only. If you want to make another version of this mod yourself, sure - message me and I may be able to give you some helpful overview materials.

ANOTHER SMALL NOTE: If you have mods that replace the look of weapons in the game, then the weapons added by this mod should use the same, adjusted look, since they draw on the same model/texture files as the original weapons.

WAY TOO FUCKING LONG: DIDN'T READ (WTFL:DR)
This makes it so you can play with whatever model of weapon in the vanilla game and DLCs you want and have it function like a normal Daedric level weapon.

Hope you enjoy. Any remarks, leave them in the comments. Any modder-to-modder remarks, feel free to leave a message, but there's no guarantee I'll see it, I find the messaging on this site a little weird and unintuitive. :/

Have a good one.

UPDATE: I have released a new Update version. In this file, every one of the weapons added by the mod can be tempered/improved up to Legendary strength, so long as you have the Daedric smithing perk (which you need to smith the weapons in the first place) and a high enough Smithing skill. If you wish to use this version of the mod, get rid of the main file and activate the updated file instead.

ANNOUNCEMENT: Due to popular demand, I made basically the same thing but for armor and clothing here - http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/83794.
