DESCRIPTION

A mod which allows you to choose the time period in game hours when vampires should be considered to be in sunlight (TOD is short for Time of Day by the way). To be precise, it adds an extremely simple MCM menu with two sliders - Sunrise and Sunset - that determine when the "Weakness to Sunshine" debuff should be added and when it should be removed (as well as when to play the "Your vampire blood boils in the sunlight" effect). So in short:

WHAT THIS MOD DOES:
Allows you to choose when to take sun damage as a vampire.

WHAT THIS MOD DOESN'T DO:
Change the actual time of day when the sun rises/sets.

WHAT THIS MOD AFFECTS:
- All four levels of sun damage
- Vampire Lord sun damage
- Mist Form stamina regeneration (apparently this is a thing, according to CK)
- Sun damage of NPC vampires (wow!)

WHAT THIS MOD DOESN'T AFFECT:
- Sanguinare Vampiris progression
- The time of day when you are able use the special effect of Auriel's Bow (don't know how this works in detail and didn't want to break anything)

Why would you even want to do this you ask? Well, my reason for creating this is because I play with an ENB preset which modifies the TODs, most notably the sunrise. It's extremely immersion-breaking when the game tells you that your vampire blood boils in the sunlight when it's pretty much the middle of the night as far as my eyes are concerned. I guess this mod could be used as a means to tweak the game's difficulty as well, if that's what you're after.

REQUIREMENTS

Dawnguard (sorry, no vanilla version at the moment)
SkyUI and all its prerequisites (for the MCM menu)

INSTALLATION

1. Use NMM or your favorite mod manager (Recommended. Seriously, get a mod manager.)
OR
2. Extract into your Data folder and remember to activate VTOD.esp (And after that go download a mod manager, silly.)

To uninstall simply use a mod manager or delete the following files:
Data\VTOD.esp
Data\Scripts\VTODConfigMenu.pex
Data\Scripts\Source\VTODConfigMenu.psc

POSSIBILITIES

I am quite busy IRL at the moment, so these might not happen in a while or maybe ever. I would like to work on them at some point though:

- Add vanilla Skyrim support
-
Add Skyrim SE support (when SKSE and SkyUI etc. get ported, and if even necessary)
- Add support for the stages of Sanguinare Vampiris (the TODs for these are hardcoded into a script and I didn't deem them worth the extra effort)
- Figure out how Auriel's Bow works and add support for that as well
- Perhaps add functionality for other sun-reliant things in the game as well?

CREDITS

The SkyUI Team: SkyUI and MCM
Me (TheS0m3b0dy): script and plugin (this was my first attempt at any sort of scripting, so be nice okay?)

Please don't upload outside of Nexusmods. You can use this in your mod if, for whatever reason, you ever wanted to. Just leave a small mention where you got the script from.
