A fool rushes in with much haste,
his body is punished and he realizes his mistake as he trips over his own fate.

A standalone (and enhanced) module from our Sands of Time: Ultimate Deadly Encounters mod.
(NOTE: As is, the mod DOES NOT offer encounters. The mod will grow, and continue to impress as the SOT team sees fit.)

SUMMARY:
Fast Travel always seems like cheating to me. This mod starts to rectify that by providing consequences when fast traveling. To start with, you will need to keep food in your inventory to avoid health penalties caused by malnutrition and hunger while traveling. The further you fast travel, the more food you will need to have. Not having enough food will cause you to acquire diseases as described below.
Not sure how I want to further develop the mod. But it will be slowly as I play Skyrim. The mod is fully usable as is.
FEATURES:
The details:
1. Skyrim is divided into 5 zones. Traveling from Riverwood to Whiterun is one zone.
2. Traveling one zone requires one unit of food. Not having enough food will result in player acquiring diseases.
3. Diseases can be cured with a Cure Disease potion, or by buying food and then sleeping in a bed. If you sleep in a baed with no food in your inventory the diseases will not be removed.
4. The diseases are prefixed by the word "Exhausted:":
a. Carryweight reduced by 100
b. Stamina reduced by 100
c. Stamina regen severely limited.
5. Additionally, Fast Travel is not possible while Exhaustion "diseased".
6. Added the following diseases as traveling risks, with the odds increasing 20%
for each zone traveled. From riften to markarth is the
maximum number of zones, five. However, the level of the player is takeninto account, and the higher the player level the better the odds of
avoiding general diseases. On the upside the diseases below do not disable fast travel.
The diseases:
Disease Ataxia
Disease BoneBreakFever
Disease BrainRot
Disease Rattles
Disease Rockjoint
Disease Witbane
INSTALLATION:
Step 1) Backup your save game in case you wish to uninstall the mod at a later time.
Step 2) Download and install with your preferred mod manager.
Step 3) Ensure the ESP is active (ticked)
Step 4) Enjoy!
UNINSTALLATION: (But why?)
Step 1) Deactivate (untick) the ESP
Step 2) Remove with your preferred mod manager
Step 3) Use Savegrame Script Scalpel by flexcreator to remove any orphaned scripts in your game
OR
Step 3 - Alternate) Reload and restart game using the previously saved backup from Step 1 during installation
Step 4) Continue on in Skyrim with wimpy and non exciting travels
COMPATIBILITY:
The mod is compatible with everything.
What is next?
1. Open to suggestions, but the more complex the suggestion the less likely it will be used. Time is always short now a days.
2. On the longer trips, would like to add some random penalties, like losing some gold.
