Protip
If you don't like the way Enchanting Awakened dispels enchantments when you don't have the right perks invested, egocarib offers a simple fix:
1. Unpack EnchantingAwakened.bsa (Use Mod Organizer or download BSA Unpacker or BSAOpt)
2. Delete EA_UnlearnedEnchantDispel.pex (This is the script that dispels stuff)
Known Issues
none
Design Notes
Ordinator's Preserver has been removed as of v1.2
Reason: Enchanting Awakened triggers Ordinator's Preserver to duplicate items whenever an enchanting table is accessed. This conflict can't be resolved (without egocarib fundamentally changing the way enchanting tables work in his mod), so Preserver, regrettably, has been removed.
The following enchanting perks from Ordinator were removed due to redundant functionality already found in Enchanting Awakened:
0 - Enchanting Mastery (2) - New enchantments are 20/40% stronger.
(EA replacement: +10% from Soul Shaper, +5/10/15/30% from specialization path)
20 - Soul Squeezer - Soul gems provide 4 extra weapon charge points per level of Enchanting.
(EA replacement: soul gems grant +66% charges from Essence Modulation, while Essence Gambit draws extra essence with chance to fill larger soul gems)
30 - Soul Siphon - Death blows with enchanted weapons to creatures, but not people, trap 5% of the victim's soul, recharging the weapon. Does not apply to staves.
(EA replacement: Essence Gambit)
80 - Twin Enchantment - Can place two enchantments upon the same item.
(EA replacement: Aetherial Duplicity or Chaotic Dissonance or Guardian's Vigor)
Thanks!!!
Thank you to EnaiSiaion for his relentless dedication to perfecting his many works and sharing them with all of us to enjoy! The breadth and depth of Skyrim modding wouldn't be the same without you! At this point, I honestly can't imagine playing Skyrim without your mods. Also, thank you for taking the time to answer my questions as I worked through troublshooting this mod.
Thank you to egocarib for his generous contributions to the Skyrim modding community, particularly Enchanting Awakened, which still stands up, even after all these years, as the most creative approach to enchanting I've yet encountered. You've taken an otherwise lackluster, arguably broken, vanilla perk tree, and turned it into something deep and compelling.
Thank you to ServantOfSin, without whom this patch would not be possible. In October 2015 I didn't know how to merge perk trees myself, so I asked ServantOfSin if he'd be willing to make an EA-Ordinator patch for me based on a merged 'star chart' I had designed. He agreed, and encouraged me to make something great out of it. His patch quickly became outdated, but I was able to use his work to teach myself to build my own tree merges from scratch.
Thank you to matortheeternal for all the wonderful modding tools you've provided to the Skyrim modding community. In this case, I'm particularly thankful for the Perk Tree UI found in Automation Tools (latest version here). This allowed me to create the entire patch in TESVEdit without ever having to open the CK!
Permissions
Ordinator and Enchanting Awakened sometimes modify the same vanilla formID's, which means that in order to preserve perks from both mods, I had to copy some of their perk 'assets' into this patch under new formID's. In turn, this means that I can't grant authority to anyone that might want to release a modified version of this patch unless you also get permission from EnaiSiaion and egocarib to use their assets. If you have permission from the original authors to use their assets, and want to publish a variation of this patch on the nexus, please feel free as long as credit is given to myself for the original patch, along with EnaiSiaion and egocarib for their amazing work.
For my part, I received permission to publish this patch directly from egocarib, and as of 2/10/17 Enai was still graciously granting open permission to anyone wanting to make a patch for Ordinator.
My Other Mod
Stormlord Armor Mesh Hotfix (also works with Immersive Armors)
Corrects a small error found on the snout of the left pauldron that was causing a hole to appear on the mesh of gechbal's Stormlord Armor.
