The Fae of Tamriel, in which you will get to role play the part of a Fae creature of your making,
I will supply you with two .bat file's that will give you the basics of being a Fae.

Not much lore has been written about these shy and elusive creatures, small of stature, quick of speed and cunning, they can be kind of heart and helpful,
to downright thieves even deadly.
They have gone by many names throughout the centuries, the Fae, the kindred, pixies, brownies, quicklings, the Wee folk
but the most common name of all...
Fairies.

Hi and welcome to my first "Mod"
The Fae of Tamriel, in which you will get to role play the part of a Fae creature of your making,
I will supply you with two .bat files that will give you the basics of being a Fae.
I should point out that playing a Fae is a pretty powerful race to play and this mod is designed to reflect it,
so with that said this is a very uber race to play.
you have very fast movement speeds, as well as pretty high jump ability with a small slow drop rate and no fall damage,
you also fight at three times the speed of any other creature.
You can regenerate your health, stamina and magika at a very fast rate even while in combat.
You start with some pretty cool spells and even some of your skills are above normal starting levels,
all of this is to reflect how ancient and powerful of the Fae are.
when the gods created the world, the Fae were right there next to them, some even say they created the gods.*
*(Really it's the Fae that say this, ..a lot)
- Health -
The down side of being one of the Fae is low hit points, you are a very small creature that can be killed with one big splat of a hand/foot/sword/etc.
you get the point, speed and stealth are your best defense, basically don't be there when the blow lands.
- Spells & Skills -
Your Fae character will come with a slew of racial spells and skill bonuses.
As mentioned the Fae are an ancient race and their children are born with natural abilities and knowledge which come natural to them.
As the most basic hunting instincts are born to a tiger cub and just like a tiger cub you will have to train them and perfect them.
- Movement -
The Fae don't fly,
They do jump and move with blinding speed, there stealth ability is unequaled in the realm.
With a single standing jump you can leap to a rooftop or a cliff ledge, even scale a mountain with ease.
you can even hover for a few seconds and the descend and land without damage from any height.
When you move at standard walking speed you will be moving at jogging speed for a big'um.
When you move at jogging speed you will move very fast.
When you move at sprint speed you will move at an extreme speed and the Fae have a very good stamina to start with so you can do this for a fair bit,
almost indefinitely.
Note: You cannot jump while doing Sprint speed!
- Combat -
Being the fast, nimble and full of magika that these creatures are, the Fae tend to use ranged attacks over close quarter fighting.
Magika is always preferred over bow and arrows, which is preferred over pikes* and swords and swords over daggers.
This is not to say that they fear close combat, indeed they do not and they will dash in and stab or slash at you if the opportunity arises.
The Fae can be quite overconfident in their attacks, almost relishing the fight as if it were a game to them and yes they like to play with their prey.
*(They tend not to use great weapons/two handed weapons but it's not unknown either)
- Defences -
The will use heavy Armor to no armor, depending on their status, riches and fighting styles.
- Mentality of the Fae -
You are not one of the ancient Fae,
Wise beyond their years and learned in the ways of the world, who are smart enough to leave the big races well alone.
No...you are a newly awakened innocent fairy, wondering why you woke up suddenly being a foot and half tall this morning, you could have sworn that you were five foot something last night, does drinking too much honey mead really do that to you and why do I have an urge to catch dragonflies, why do I keep running into everything, was the world this much of a blur or is that still the mead hangover??
Something tells you that this day is just going to get weirder.
Fae society is an open accepting society and encourages you to go out and find yourself, to be what you want to be, good or evil, order or chaos it's up to you, for all kinds make the world,
..Just leave the bigg'em alone if you know what's good for you.

- Installation -
Install via manual download and extract the file And Place it in your Skyrim folder,
X:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim
(NOT in your data folder!)
- How to become one of the Fae. -
Well life started out normal for you, like most big'ems you started out really tall, then that Fae gene must have kicked in, why do you have the Fae gene in you, maybe your mum had a thing with a fairy and didn't know it or even your dad swapped you for a wish, (fairy favor) but bang you hit adulthood and suddenly you’re a foot and half tall and have energy to burn.
(1) - Start a new character**, you can choose any race even modded races as your base character to start with.
(2) - Active the .bat file's while in game, press ~ key and type, “bat faelife" press the Enter key and then type, “bat faemove" press Enter key, Then press ~ again to close the console. (leave the " " out)
Once you active the .bat file you will become .4 on the height scale, ( 1 is normal)
you better hope people are wearing underwear.
Congratulations you are now a Fairy!
Note:
- After reloading a save you will be without the Fae jumping abilities, just reactive the "faemove" bat file and all will be back to normal.
- To reset your jump ability active the, "faemovereset.bat" file
- DO NOT reactive the,"faelife" bat file as this will reset all your stats and skills, but not your level!
** (Best to do this, but it's ok to use this on a saved character as well, but please note there stats will be changed and their skills will too and there is NO way to undo this)
You have been warned!
(Best make a backup first!)
- Camera Fixes -
Due to the small size, the camera can get wonky, so here are some fixes
1st person:
Install this mod from the Oldrim nexus:

It works fine on Special Edition, either install manually by extracting the files to the Data folder,
or download it manually and allow NMM to install it by clicking the big green plus.
It puts the camera at the height of the model, so it’s great for other mods like Skyrim Sizes as well
3rd person:
Unfortunately, the only way to change the 3rd person camera is to alter the Skyrim.ini file.
This file is not found in your install directory, but in your Documents folder.
Go to Documents/mygames/Skyrim
You should find the Skyrim.ini file. First thing to do is make a backup! Then open it up and add the following lines:
[Camera]
fOverShoulderCombatAddY = -15.0000 //When weapon is out: zoom in/out
fOverShoulderCombatPosZ = -35.000 //When weapon is out: height
fOverShoulderCombatPosX = 0.0000 //When weapon is out: left/right distance from the center
fOverShoulderPosZ = -55.0000 //When weapon is NOT out: height
fOverShoulderPosX = 10.0000 //When weapon is NOT out: left/right distance from the center
Feel free to change these values if you prefer a different camera, but I feel these settings give a nice over the shoulder camera, with a centered combat cam. Just remember that these settings are global, so switch back to the original ini if you're playing a non-faerie race.
Otherwise you're entire 3rd person camera will be in crotch/butt cam :P
- Notes -
Bear in mind, this is a tiny race, so animations will be off, especially kill moves and crafting stations.
Unfortunately, not all that much I can do about that. On the upside, the race is small enough that you're not likely to notice :P
Also If you want a smaller fairy, you can use the setscale console command to make yourself a bit smaller.
Just don't go too overboard, otherwise you'll never be able to reach anything :D
- Press ~ key the type "Player.setscale x"
x = (.1 to 5) 1 being normal character game size, anything above 1 will be a giant,
(So now you know how to make Giants as well, beware that there movement can be a bit off)
- If you want a smaller fairy try .3 or a slightly bigger fairy try .5 to .8
(leave the " " out)
- Recommended Mods -
You should also install these mods as well, they add quite a bit to playing a Fae.
