Requiem Overhaul has a lot of traps that Insta-gib you. This nerfs some of those traps.

What does this mod do?

It makes Requiem's traps less deadly.

But, why?

I don't like being one-shotted or insta-gibbed. Requiem is a challenging mod but being killed outright isn't challenging. It's dumb.

I still don't understand why you're installing a difficulty mod and then making it easy

It's not unprecedented. Axonys, author of Requiem Minor Arcana nerfs many of the deadliest traps in the mod (but he explains it's because player's exploit traps to kill dangerous enemies). 

My basic view is that traps should add spice to the Requiem Overhaul experience without making dungeon crawls impossible for non-Heavy Armor characters. The idea is to make traps dangerous but not insta-gib you.

So, now I can't die?

This is Requiem. You're still going to die. A lot.

* Poison traps are nerfed in minor ways, similar damage values 

Explosion traps

* Runes are less deadly, dealing 100 elemental damage instead of 200. Vanilla: 2

Spell traps

* Lighting Bolts do 144-288 instead of flat 288. Vanilla: 105-309
* Fireballs do 265 instead of 530. Vanilla: 42-141
* Flames do 173 instead of 346. Vanilla: 29-117
* Frostbite does 196 instead of 392. Vanilla: 42-196
* Ice Spikes do 129-222 instead of 259. Vanilla: 77-222
* Ice Storm does 500-628 instead of 1256. Vanilla: 214-586
* Sparks do 219-250 instead of 438. Vanilla: 74-250
* Chain Lightning does 235 instead of 470. Vanilla: 65-156
* Fire Bolt does 115-131 instead of 230. Vanilla: 39-131
* Fire traps on floor plates do 49 instead of 98. Vanilla: 14-35

Weapon traps

* Darts do 2-5 damage times 6 (Reqtifactor) per hit instead of 5-6 times 6 Reqtified. Vanilla: 1-5
