I provide some explanations of  what I did, what I plan to do, and why. Hopefully you find it helpful. You don't need to read those unless you have questions that ARE NOT related to technical issues. I hope it helps you enjoy the game more! I left Sneak Tools mostly intact so you can still use features like the shop if you really want to, but you will have to add through the console. I didn't want to take any of the options away from you, but I wanted to keep the immersion for those of you whom want it.

Keep in mind, this is roughly how I designed the integration: If the mechanic itself is fun, then I do not provide additional incentives to use the mechanic. In other words, are you doing this because it's fun, or are you doing this because you will be rewarded (externally)?  Ideally, these mechanics themselves would be the reward. I think EnaiSiaion already does an amazing job rewarding you for playing well (and adds so many rewarding mechanics), so I don't need to do that with the introduction of the new mechanics because they can easily build off the existing rewards system. Quick example(s), "if you do x, you will be rewarded with a new, fun mechanic, that is fun to do." In contrast, "if you do x, you will be rewarded with a damage bonus." Lastly, "you have bonus damage." Which of those sound like the most fun to do? EnaiSiaion does an excellent job of relying mostly on the the first 2 examples, but the third is still important, because it helps prevent barriers to entries for trying the tree out in the first place. We could talk about the psychological applications of Reward Systems all day, but as I'm not a game designer, that was the best tool I had from my academic/professional career. Hopefully, you enjoy the implementation.  I'm always open to suggestions and feedback!

2.  Sneak Tools Exploits Fixed
Spoiler:
Show
From my testing, it was possible to exploit the "knock out" feature and the "slit throat" feature from Sneak Tools. Even if you failed, you could just button mash to get it to work even when it should fail. This applies to both the knocking NPCs unconscious and slitting throats. But with the unconscious feature, if you were to check someone's pocket, they just need to have items worth more than 40G and it's worth it to knock them out even if you get caught. For now, I have turned these into powers that you can take a second rank for if you want them to last longer. I planned on doing this regardless to balance introducing the mechanic early. I have a few ideas to integrate it at will, but I don't know if I can do that without scripts (maybe something light, it will be optional), but I'll try. I left the full version of the perk in there (it's not in the tree) so if someone wants to play around with it, just add it in the console. I'm going to revisit these later.

3. Integration
Spoiler:
Show
If you use Ordinator and Sneak Tools together, you have almost all the features right off the bat. Each mechanic should be, at least in part, tied to a measurable metric of skill. In this case, your sneak skill. Reaching level x in sneak should lead to outcomes and rewards related to sneaking. However, your sneak skill should, reflect both the time/effort you've put in , and in part your actual skill at sneaking (your performance). This is really hard to explain without getting super deep into motivation, performance evaluation, etc., but in general, I'm trying to establish that, time+effort+performance = more mechanics. More mechanics (if fun) = more fun. However, you might notice additional ranks. These aren't designed to reward you externally, but to enable you to enjoy the mechanic more.

5. Required Files

For Sneak Tools:
Spoiler:
Show
You need Ordinator and Sneak Tools. It seems technically they can both be included. However, they absolutely deserve the downloads if for some reason you haven't downloaded at least one of them. I think they're worth the endorsement too. Honestly, I think you should do the same for Perkus Maximus, as this file, and the direction of the rest of my Perk/race related files was inspired by Perma as well.

6. Installation
Spoiler:
Show

Below I left instructions for people whom may not have much  experience modding. It's just like any other files with dependencies. HOWEVER, it is safe to merge these plugins.

  • Download Ordinator
  • Install Ordinator
  • Download Sneak Tools
  • Install Sneak tools
  • Download this file
  • Install this file
  • Let ALL of the included files overwrite EVERY required file.
  • Activate Ordinator - Perks of Skyrim.esp
  • Sort with LOOT.
  • Activate Sneak tools.esp

7. Updating Concerns
Spoiler:
Show
You only need to upgrade when changes to the sneak tree (the tree itself) are made in Ordinator. To Clarify, when actor value information (AVI) is UNCHANGED, you DO NOT need to upgrade, unless otherwise stated. If perks are added or removed to AVI, then you definitely need to upgrade, if you want to use those new perks (or not use the removed ones). AVI changes include the actual tree itself. Even if that gets changed, you shouldn't have any issues if you use on of the older files, as I have moved the tree to make the additions fit in better. Do note, this is assuming Ordinator isn't significantly reworked.

8. Plans
Spoiler:
Show
Because I love both Perma and Ordinator so much, this is part of my attempt to bring as many of the amazing features of Perma over to Ordinator. As much as possible, I will try to provide standalone packages for the spells, a version with the perks integrated, and the main focus where the perks and spells are balanced to fit into Oridnator. I also want to add some of my own features to fill out features that aren't find in either mod.

9. Recommended Mods

10. Permission

You must accept and understand any and all terms set by both Borgut1337, and  EnaiSiaion.
Please do not upload THIS FILE to other sites. I would prefer to keep things as simple as possible for other users. If there's a reason you think it should be on another site, please ask first.
You may convert THIS FILE to Skyrim Special Edition. I would prefer to just host it here if you have the file to make things simple, but that's up to you if you're willing to put in the work, but in that case, support is your responsibility. However, please, for the time being, DO NOT upload this file to Bethesda.net., even for Skyrim Special Edition. I want to take some time to look into Bethesda.net  for myself first. Under NO CIRCUMSTANCES should you bother the respective mod author's (Borgut1337 or EnaiSiaion) with any issues related to the file(s) provided. Thank you!
