About this mod

A perk adjustment mod with less crap in it.

Permissions and credits
This perk mod is most similar to Perks Unbound, and if I had bothered to look for that first I might not have made this one. PU has some odd dependencies though, including USKP, which my mod does not (I do not use USKP myself), so I justify publishing it at least on those grounds.

What it does: outside of necessary perk dependencies in the tree (you need to be able to dual cast destruction spells before you can use Impact, for instance), all perks in any skill tree will be unlocked upon acquiring the first perk in the tree. So you will have to take Steel Smithing if you want to use Dragon Smithing, but you will not have to take any of the other perks on the right or left sides of the Smithing tree.

This mod also keeps the mainline dependencies for things like the novice-master spell progressions, as well as any multiperk set in the skill trees that is indicated by a single star, for reasons that should be pretty obvious.

There are a couple of unusual cases where there are dependencies you might not expect. For instance, Assassin's Blade only modifies dagger damage 2.5x. This was designed to stack with Backstab, so you will not be able to take Assassin's Blade without first taking Backstab. Deadly Aim has no such dependency, and so can now be taken once you've gotten Sneak to 40 after you've put one point in Stealth.

Otherwise everything is disentangled. For instance, you will not need to take Well Fitted before you take Matching Set in the Heavy Armor tree. I don't know why a person might skip the first one and take the second one, and I don't care: it's none of my business what you do.

This mod makes no other alterations. You will still have to level up to the minimum level each perk in the vanilla game calls for.

Compatibility issues: pretty sure this mod will ruin any other perk mod you take, and vice versa. If you're using Perkus Maximus or some more comprehensive perk overhaul that does a bunch of things that you like, you should pass this guy by.

Note: this mod does not effect the Vampire or Werewolf perk trees.
