Player Knockout
Player Knockout is a Death Alternative-esque mod that allows you to respawn at the last bed you've slept at when you die (like in minecraft).
My mod doubles as an infinite death camera.
Demonstration:
INSTALLATION
Requirements:
SKSE (Latest version preferably)
Simply activate the mod using your mod installer of choice or just drag and drop the files into the data folder
ACTIVATION
To activate, sleep at a bed. Without doing this, your character will simply die. You can disable the ability at any time in the MCM.
This will make your character be marked as essential, meaning you will be invulnerable to kill moves.
When your health reaches zero, the mod mimics vanilla death: enemies stop attacking you and you lie motionless on the ground. When you press spacebar, the screen will fade and then respawn you at the last bed you've slept at. A gravestone will appear at the spot you died, (if enabled) allowing you to retreive your items. Your followers follow you after you respawn.
If you wish, you may succumb to your defeat by pressing the U key (deafult) when you are knocked out.
The customization MCM menu allows for a tuned respawning experience:
-Lose/Keep items on death
-Lose a percentage of gold on death
-Toggle-able gravestone
-Drop your weapon (you have to pick it up)
UNINSTALLATION:
Remove the ability using the MCM, delete the scripts and deactivate the plugin.
KNOWN ISSUES:
The following 2 issues will be fixed in the next update:
-The option to remove the spell (and uninstall the mod) is greyed out when you have the Hit Force option disabled. Enable hit force, back out of the menu, and then go back into the menu to remove the spell. (thanks lued123)
-Respawning while your bed is really close by (in the same cell) might not warp you but just make you wake up on the spot. (thanks ServantOfSin)
-The knockback that applies to your character works most of the time, but in some random cases, it doesn't.
-Your character's body will spaz out depending on how thin the ground is below you (ex: Riften Bee and Barb)-If anything doesn't work or something super strange happens when you die, just post in the discussions.
-Your character's eyes still blink.
-Losing a brawl will make you "die"
COMPATIBILITY:
Green - Fully compatible
Yellow - Mod needs tweaking in its MCM to play well with my mod
Red - Not compatible and will interfere with other mod's functions
SM Essential Player - My mod already makes you essential and will probably break the "ghost" feature of the mod
Death Alternative - Will probably mess everything up since enemies dont attack you when you go down.
Frostfall - Compatible if you don't choose the death option, where it just makes you lie on the ground forever
Enhanced Camera - Turn off first person ragdolls.
Campfire - If you move your bedroll or whatever, the place you respawn will update only when you sleep on them.
iNeed - Compatible even with the death option. Other hunger mods should work too
Will probably break a lot of quests if you warp out of their area when you're not supposed to.
