UPDATE:  AS OF THE RELEASE OF FORGOTTEN STORIES, THIS MOD IS NOW OUTDATED

However, if you 're still using base Enderal, this mod is still applicable.

==============================================================================================================================
I'm a little new to modding, but one thing that bothered me was the lack of tempering options for many of the weapons and armor in Enderal.  This mod aims to change that.  This also includes a couple of minor bugfixes for tempering recipes that were placed incorrectly.

I don't plan on adding recipes for enchanted items, since SureAI plans on having an arcane smithing related perk sometime in the future.  If not, then someone has already released a mod that allows this.  You can find it here:

http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/77364/? by Ratrace.  This one allows you to temper items that you've already enchanted.

http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/77496/? by Ratrace.  This one allows you to temper pre-enchanted items, eg set pieces, etc.  Be warned that this will change the names of these items affected into their German names.  A couple of solutions is to either open up TES5Edit and change the names manually to their English ones, or to enable the mod, temper the things you want to do, and then disable the mod afterwards.

In addition, there's a couple more smithing/handicraft things to check out here:

Enderal - Temper Pre-Enchanted Items English Version by Varana.  This one is a translated version of Ratrace's mod which allows you to temper pre-enchanted items.

Enderal - Handicraft (Smithing) Expanded by Ravenscans.  This one adds more smelting options by breaking down weapons and armor and forging arrows, among other things.  In addition, his most recent update now allows you to temper pre-enchanted weapons and armor, including set pieces.  This one is probably the most comprehensive out of all the ones listed here.

REQUIRES:

Skyrim
Enderal
Enderal Launcher

INSTALLATION:

Simply place the esp file in the Skyrim data folder and enable it in the Enderal launcher.

UNINSTALL:

Check it off in the Enderal launcher and delete it from the Skyrim Data folder.

INCOMPATIBILITY:

None that I'm aware of, unless it affects the tempering recipes for the specific equipment.

On that note, there's a possibility that I may have forgotten some things to add on here or that needs to be tweaked.  Feedback is much appreciated!

CHANGELOG:

1.0 - Initial relase
1.01 - Added a few more tempering recipes for additional items
1.02 - Added another recipe, moved a couple that were incorrectly placed
1.02b - Tweaked a couple of recipes for compatibility with Ratrace's mod by removing the enchanting condition checks. Also included an optional file that removes the enchanting condition check so you can temper the items already enchanted.
1.03 - Removed the recipes for pre-enchanted items, tweaked a couple for balancing purposes. Added some more for additional armor pieces.
