Changelog
1.11 Update 2 Sets Addon Only
Once again I messed up by not updating the meshes in the zip file.  Now fixed - no more missing red color set.

1.1 Update

Original Hermit and new Forest Hermit armor sets can now be crafted and tempered (upgraded). Crafting and Tempering ONLY supported in the ADDON version since the REPLACER version only replaces textures and doesn't change the ESP.

Description
Looking for a mysterious druid or ranger light armor set for your next play through Skyrim?  Look no further!  The Forest Hermit has arrived.   This is a green and brown recolor of the Hermit Armor set by Newermind43I tried to make the mask have a wooden texture, so hopefully it came out good enough. There are three versions of the mod:

  • Replacer Version:  This version will replace the default red color of the Hermit armor with the green and brown recolor.  During installation, simply overwrite the old textures with the new textures.  This version absolutely requires the original Hermit Armor mod to be installed first.
  • Addon Version:  This version will add the new green and brown set of The Forest Hermit Armor to the existing mod (so you can use both).  It includes a new esp file.  Overwrite all files when asked.  This version absolutely requires the original Hermit Armor mod to be installed first.  Additionally, the chest used in the original mod contains the new armor set as well as the original armor.  The new set is called "Forest Hermit."
  • 2 New Sets Addon Version:  This version will add the Forest Hermit and Highborn Recluse armors to the existing mod (so you can use all three).  It includes a new esp file.  Overwrite all files when asked.  This version absolutely requires the original Hermit Armor mod to be installed first.  Additionally, the chest used in the original mod contains the new armor sets as well as the original armor.

You can add them using the console or use Add Item Menu 2.

Installation

Both versions should install fine using NMM.  Be sure you choose to replace all files.  See above about the differences between the two versions.  For manual installation, unzip the files to a temporary location.  Copy the DATA folder from inside the unzipped folder to your SKYRIM folder and replace all.

Permissions
Do not upload this to another site.  If you want to use anything here, I'm fine with it, but you must ask Newermind43 for permission to use his original assets.

Compatibility
I don't think there are any issues.  My testing shows it is working fine with a truckload of mods loaded.  That said, if you find a problem or want to rag at my pitiful modding skills please submit a bug report. :)

Why Do These Recolors?
I originally planned just to make them for myself to use with my followers.  I like the idea of the followers having uniforms, but different colors for different groups or locations.  I'll be uploading more recolors and even retexture/recolor armors in the near future.

Upcoming Recolors and Retextures or Request
I'm working on the Deadly Trio, and some others I can't name here because I'm waiting on permission from the original developers.  If you have armor you want recolored you can request it in the comment section.
