Forte, A Dark Elf Preset!
Description:
Forte is a female, dark elf, preset I made using the RACEMENU mod. I wanted to play a dark elf because the abilities and stats are really neat, but I could not get over how ugly they were! So I buckled down and spent a few hours in RACEMENU. Using mostly the sculpt tool, I made Forte, a dark elf that... honestly looks nothing like a dark elf, but who cares?! While maybe not the most lore friendly preset, She doesn't look like the result of a high elf getting funky with a draugr, AKA vanilla dark elves!
Any way, there are not many dark elf presets on the nexus (that i know of) and I thought that she looked good and wanted to share her with you guys. If any of you are like me, than hopefully you will have fun playing Skyrim as a dark elf for the first time.
Feel free to upload pictures of her in your game I would love to see them.

1. Download and extract the file in: Skyrim/data/skse/plugins/chargen/presets
2. Install any required mods you might be missing.
3. Start up Skyrim, run race menu, set your race to dark elf, go to your character presets and select Forte.
3. That's it! you are done! Enjoy the Preset!
But Wait There is More!!!:
As an added bonus I am also uploading the .nif file! "What is this?" you ask. To put it simply it is the file for the face mesh. Why do you want this? First of all if you want your Forte to become a vampire and are stricken with those awful gaunt vampire cheeks you can import Forte's .nif file in Race menu to overwrite the vampire face mesh!
In addition, if you want to use the preset but don't want to be a dark elf you can use the .nif file to replace the face mesh of any other race (except beast races, sorry guys). This wont change the hair or makeup, however, so if you still want your character to look exactly like mine I recommend you still download the preset and look at the settings for hair and makeup so you can manually add them in race menu.

How to use a .nif file to replace a face mesh in race menu:
Note: you do not need to read this if you just want the RaceMenu preset you are done enjoy the mod!
In this tutorial I am replacing the face mesh of a female nord with Forte's face mesh.
- Place the Forte.nif file in: Skyrim/Data/skse/plugins/CharGen
- In race menu go to the sculpt tab.
- Find the mask add tool, it should be on the far left of the tools tab. Using mask add paint a ring around the base of your character's neck. This is where your head mesh meats the body mesh. The mask keeps the verts it covers from moving. The ring prevents neck gaps from forming when importing a new head mesh.
- Click on Import Head or hit F9. This brings up the browser window. select Forte. A window that looks like this should appear.
- Click Accept or hit E and you are done!

If you are missing any of the required mods (excluding RaceMenu, you wont be able to install this mod without it) you will still get the face mesh but you maybe missing textures or hair.

Q: Why Forte?
A: IDK, first thing that came to mind was the name of one of my friends characters. Maybe I should ask him...
Q: Will you make a ECE version?
A: No, there are more compatible mods for RaceMenu than ECE and swapping between the two causes problems for my save games.
Q: Will you make a companion mod for her?
