This is a simple mod that adds my skill book "Salix's Guide to Alchemy for Knowledge and Profit" to Skyrim.  

The book features advice for getting started with mixing potions, collecting ingredients, choosing perks and leveling, discovering effects, increasing the skill quickly, and making lots of gold.  It also contains information on ingredients with the most valuable effects, and a few of my favorite recipes.  Written in a conversational style, it gives a leg up for players looking to increase their skill more or less organically yet efficiently.  

I have placed 35 copies in the world.  Look for them in the College of Winterhold, alchemy shops, court mage quarters, guild halls, and the homes of 15 closet alchemists around Skyrim (see the readme file for a full list of locations).

The text is more or less lore friendly, but does include some language about game play mechanics (such as choosing perks and skill increases).
