Latest Update 2.0:
================

* All circlets have been removed from this mod, however they have been recreated in Armored Circlets by QuickFox.

* Dragon Priest Masks are now associated with various armor sets, determined by the type of metal ingot used to improve them. Previously they were all treated as part of the daedric armor set.

===========
Introduction:
===========

Ever get annoyed when certain sets or pieces of armor dont function properly as a set for the purposes of certain armor perks? I know I do! This mod aims to fix these problems in a simple and seamless way.

==========
What it does:
==========

Fixes the following armor sets so that they can benefit from 'Matching Set' perk bonuses, and be improved at the smithing table as material of the listed perk type, or steel if they have no corresponding perk (no changes have been made to the materials required to upgrade them):

* Ebony armor set: ebony set.
* Fur armor set: hide set.
* Blades armor set: steel plate set.
* Forsworn armor & Armor of the Old Gods sets: hide set.
* Falmer armor set: falmer set.
* Linwe armor set: leather set.
* Thievesguild armor set: leather set.
* Stormcloak armor set: hide set.
* Ancient Nord armor set: draugr set. Also increased armor rating to equivalent of steel plate.
* Helm of Yngol: draugr set.
* Studded armor: now called 'hide studded armor', can be found under hide.
* Banded iron armor: now called 'Iron banded armor', iron set.
* Banded iron shield: now called 'Iron banded shield'.
* Elven gilded cuirass: elven set.
* Studded imperial armor: now called 'Imperial studded armor', light imperial set.
* Stormcloak 'fur' boots and gauntlets: now called 'Stormcloak' boots and gauntlets.
* Saviours Hide: hide set.
* Masque of Clavicus Vile: daedric set.
* Spellbreaker: can be fully improved as dwarven armor.
* Jagged Crown: dragonplate set, can no longer be combined with a circlet.
* Dragon Priest Masks: now associated with various non-daedric sets.

==============
Known Conflicts:
==============

* Weapons and Armor Fixes : This mod also alters several armor pieces in an attempt to make them function better for the relevant set perks, however to function correctly my mod should be set AFTER this one in the load order; the default skyrim launcher loads mods in the order which they were installed, but you can use a custom loader like the Nexus Mod Manager to alter the order in which mods are loaded. As long as you arrange the mod loading order correctly both this mod and mine will be 99% complementary, and you should have no trouble running both.

* If you are using a custom mod loader, ensure that my mod is LOWER in the loading order than other armor/item mods; if it doesnt, my mod may well not do what it sets out to do. My mod aims to change only a very few things, mainly the armor sets associated with several armors, and it does this in a unique way, while simultaneously fixing many other flaws with the items in question that other mods may also do.

Old Updates:
===========

Update 1.1:

* Updated 'Matching Set' perk (heavy armor version) to include Ebony Armor.

Update 1.2:

* Added 6 new categories of armor for the purposes of forming matching armor sets: Fur, Linwe, Thieves Guild, Falmer, Blades & Forsworn.

* All types of armor not covered by their own smithing perk can now be doubly enhanced once you have the steel smithing perk. This includes the new armor sets, as well as Iron, Leather, Hide, Light Imperial & Stormcloak.

* Added Saviour's Hide to Fur & Scaled armor sets in addition to Hide.

Update 1.3:

* Added Dark Brotherhood & Nightingale armors to list of armor that can be doubly improved with the steel smithing perk.

* Changed name of Stormcloak 'fur' boots and gauntlets to 'Stormcloak' boots and gauntlets.

Update 1.4:

* Added craftable armored circlets to the smithing forge under 'MISC' for Fur, Linwe's, Thieves Guild, Falmer, Blades, Forsworn & Stormcloaks armor sets. These circlets can be substituted for the helmet in their respective armor sets; they require the steel smithing perk to create and a helmet of the appropriate type as materials. They have the same gold value & enchantment as the helm they replace, but offer reduced protection and in most cases, reduced weight. Note that custom enchanted helms do not pass on their enchantment to their circlet.

* Stormcloak armor set given new category name: was 'Stormcloak' now 'Stormcloaks'; this needed to be done in order to add the craftable armored stormcloak circlet to smithing forge.

* This mod can be complemented by (and is fully compatible with) Armored Circlets by QuickFox.

* Saviour's Hide can now fit into any light armor set.

* Falmer Helmet's stats have been adjusted.

Update 1.5:

* Updated Matching Set & Steel Smithing perks to include stormcloaks armor set.

* Updated 'Armor of the Old Gods' set to forsworn armor set.

Update 1.6:

* Added Hide armor set to list of armours that can be doubly improved by steel smithing perk.

* Gave Ancient Nord armor its own set, separate from daedric. This means that when smithed at the skyforge, it is no longer found in the daedric section, but in the draugr section along with the Nord Hero weapons.

* Added Ancient Nord Circlet that can be smithed at the skyforge once you are able to smith Ancient Nord armor.

Update 1.7:

* Fixed Ancient Nord circlet; now properly gives armor.

* Fixed Jagged crown; no longer possible to combine with a circlet.

* Fixed discrepancies between thieves guild armor weights; now the same for regular, advanced & guild masters.

* Adjusted all armored circlets to give armor equal to their respective helms (this should help followers choose to equip circlets over helms), decreased weight of all light circlets to 1 and increased weight of all heavy circlets to 4.

* Added new color circlet for Guild Master's circlet; black with sapphires. Inventory model accurately reflects this, though has greenish tinge due to enchantment. More circlets making use of new textures can be found in my Armored Circlets mod.

* Many circlets are now more closely color-coordinated with their respective armor sets.

Update 1.8:

* Linwe's circlet now uses iron & onyx texture.

* Thieves guild armor set now treated as leather (This was necessary to make it fully compatible with my Thieves Guild Short-Sleeved Armor mod).

Update 1.9:

* Several types of armor have had the set they were associated with changed; I have removed the custom-made armor sets present in the previous versions.

* Circlets now require appropriate materials in order to be crafted.

* The masque of clavicus vile has been associated to the daedric armor set.

* The saviours hide is now only associated with the hide armor set.

* Certain types of circlets will only be available to be crafted after a certain stage in the questline where the helm they are based upon first becomes available, or are only available for crafting if the helm they are based upon is present in your inventory.
