Guess every mageey player is wearing the Archmage robe(its so damn good that u simply cant enchant a better one,,,,---ok , at least in the early game or without crazily stacked enchantment enforcement :p),,, and at the same time being tomented by its bad design and dull colors with bleeding in the eyes(not that it's really that bad as a clothes itself and not that you get much of a chance of cinematic moves to watch the clothes in action since you're maining magic) ,, .,however,
after several fickling with the nif file replacement, i was so glad to find this sexiest clothes in the game(except that of Dibellas's i guess) ..to replace(i was actually trying to use the one on Alva tho),

*since the archmage robe covers your head completely while the nocturnal cowl dosent, your character WOULD APPEAR BALD while wearing this(hair is removed by archmage robe to avoid the case in which part of the hair may appear sticking out of the hood),,,,havet figur out a way to fix this without Creation Kit..any help would be appreciated*

you can use the unhooded version of the archmage to avoid this baldness issue, if currently your archmage robe is the hooded version, you may need to get it by console:player.equipitem 7C932
,,Or you can try the one with the forsworn headdress with the unique hairstyle~


***Zonzai had done a really nice HQ reskin for the nocturnal robe (including color changes, etc), ,,, highly recomend you to check it out if you like the noctournal robe design~~~
