About this mod

You can now craft silver swords through the vanilla system.

Requirements
Permissions and credits
A few months ago I made this file. It was time to upload it, as I was on an uploading spree anyway.

I was annoyed by the lack of content in regards to silver weapons. I wanted them to be more present. So all I did was make the silver sword craftable - and I added a silver sword recipe with improved damage (and only improved damage) for all categories.

I just imagine making a Daedric Sword and coating it with silver. If you can use hearts to make a weapon, this isn't too far fetched. You'll get weapons like Silver Sword (Daedric Core), etc.

Obviously, you will need the smithing perks for their own categories. Elven smithing makes an Elven Core, Dwarven makes a Dwarven Core. The Silver Swords do not have to be combined with cores; they're there automatically if you have the materials for a normal weapon, plus some silver in your inventory.

To clarify something: you can enchant the swords like normal. It will be like having 3 enchantments, if you count the silver as enchantments.

Installation:

I recommend you use Mod Organizer, butdropping the .esp file into your Skyrim/Data folder is enough.
You will need Dawnguard and Dragonborn. I made this file for myself and didn't know what I was going to use, in terms of effects added by DLC, until after I had loaded the DLC files. I don't intend to change the dependencies. But they don't really use DLC assets, for as far as I've paid attention to the Silver effects I used. I ended up not putting on any enchantments of my own.

Uninstalling:

I never recommend uninstalling .esp files. Think of them like houses ofcards. Pull one out and it's destroyed. Still, if you wish to do it, there are
no scripts and I edited nothing from vanilla. You should be fine.

Compatibility:

This is probably incompatible with anything that changes the vanilla smithing perks. An untested way to obtain the swords is through the console command. help "Silver Sword" and add the number. player.additem <ID> 1 --> hit enter.
Don't know if things will get messed up if you use perk changers/overhauls. I usually stay away from those (as I often like it better to install many small changes that may add their own perks, or depend on vanilla ones, rather than 1 overhaul and tons of patches).
I can't see it being incompatible withanything else, other than that it may be overpowered for some overhaul mods. I don't
plan on making any patches though, sorry. If there are any serious issues with
something, let me know and I'll see if I can fix it on my end.
