About this mod

This patch makes it so the Ancestral Awakening perk in SPERG properly recognizes whether or not you're using the modified racial abilities option provided by Disparity, and adjusts accordingly.

1. What this does
The Ancestral Awakening perk added in SPERG has a benefit of doubling your passive racial abilities. For people who use Disparity, the modified passive abilities can vary quite a bit from the vanilla game, and SPERG by default does not recognize them and doubles the default abilities. This patch makes it so SPERG properly recognizes whether you're using the modified racial abilities option, and adjusts accordingly via script. Note that the description for the Ancestral Awakening perk is not entirely accurate if you are using the modified racial abilities option in Disparity.

2. How to use it
Everything should work as you expect it to, with a few minor exceptions:

- Altmer receive a flat 25% bonus to magicka regeneration, which is the median amount of regeneration offered by their modified racial ability. I did this to avoid excess condition checking. Note that although it does not show up in the active effects, you are in fact receiving bonus magicka regeneration. To see for yourself, type "player.getav magickarate", the value of which should be 25 points higher than before.

- Dunmers and Imperials receive an awakened version of their original greater powers, due to them only having a singular passive bonus and my desire to not add dummy effects for the sake of padding formlists.

The effects should also be properly reflected on custom races provided you choose the correct options in the SPERG and Disparity configuration menus. If for some reason you wish to disable the modified racial abilities in Disparity's MCM and you have already chosen Ancestral Awakening as a perk, you'll have to reset your perks and regain Ancestral Awakening to convert the bonuses it provides.

3. Requirements
- SPERG - Skyrim Perk Enhancements and Rebalanced Gameplay Version 4.0 (not guaranteed to work properly with any other version)
- Disparity -- Player Character Class - Race and Gender Diversity Version 2.1 (not guaranteed to work properly with any other version)
- All of the requirements of both SPERG and Disparity

4. Installation
Drag and drop "SPERG AA - Disparity Patch.esp" and the Scripts folder into your Data folder, located in your Skyrim installation directory, overwrite "SPEPerksScript.pex" when prompted. Yes, that does mean you need to install SPERG first! Load after SPERG.esm and Disparity.esp, it is also recommended you load this after any files that depend on either in case they alter the same things (highly unlikely, but possible).

5. Uninstallation
Delete "SPERG AA - Disparity Patch.esp". Replace "SPEPerksScript.pex" with the version from SPERG 4.0. The second step is very important, otherwise things are guaranteed to break unless you also plan on uninstalling SPERG (why would you do such a thing).

6. Troubleshooting
Q. These effects are all wrong! I have this effect twice, and I'm missing this effect! Is it time to panic?
A. Absolutely! No, something must've gone batty somewhere along the line. Resetting your perks and grabbing Ancestral Awakening again SHOULD fix this.

Q. It's not even working at all!
A. There are multiple possible scenarios here. You could be using a version of SPERG or Disparity other than the ones listed in the requirements, something is overrwriting an aspect of this mod, or you did not install it correctly. Please make sure you replace the "SPEPerksScript.pex" from SPERG with the one provided by this mod, otherwise it absolutely will not work properly.

Q. I deleted your mod and now SPERG isn't working right.
A. You need to make sure you replace the "SPEPerksScript.pex" provided by this mod with the one from SPERG, otherwise it'll break stuff.

Q. SPERG / Disparity made X change, will you alter your mod to reflect this?
A. Probably. If I'm being lazy you are well within your rights to update this mod to work with future version of either one and then upload it.

Q. This can make some really overpowered stuff!
A. To be fair, it's very difficult to not become overpowered after a certain point in Skyrim. That being said, yeah I'm aware of this, you'll have to use your own discretion on this one.
