I use Skyrim Perk Enhancements and Rebalanced Gameplay (SPERG) by seorin found here http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/24445/? Adds 3 new perks in Alteration extending from the mage armor perk, adds 3 lesser powers, they are Toggled Fire, Frost and Shock Armors with built in cloaks. There's a second file that also adds Wind Armor and requires Dragonborn.

Requires Alteration level 50 and the mage armor perk:

They add 100 Armor, 50% Resistance vs their type, and 5 damage per second to targets in melee range, fire sets things on fire for 1 second, frost does equal stamina damage, shock does equal magicka damage

At Alteration level 75 they auto improve:

They add 200 armor, 75% Resistance vs their type, and 10 damage per second.

At Alteration level 100 they auto improve again:

They add 300 armor, 100% resistance vs their type, and 15 damage per second.

WIND ARMOR -Alteration Lvl 50-Adds 100 armor, 10% fire, frost and shock resistance, 25% chance melee targets will be blown away (Excluding Dragons, Giants and Trolls)
-Alteration Lvl 75-Adds 200 armor, 20% fire, frost and shock resistance, 50% chance melee targets will be blown away (Excluding Dragons, Giants and Trolls)
-Alteration Lvl 100-Adds 300 armor, 30% fire, frost and shock resistance, 75% chance melee targets will be blown away (Excluding Dragons, Giants and Trolls)

I kept the effects 1st person friendly without taking away the fact that they are elemental armors, they don't use the cloak visuals that blind you, they don't chew magicka per second either just toggle on, off. You can only have 1 active armor at a time and the currently active armor must be toggled off before a different type can be toggled on, the cloak effect activates only when in combat, if you use skyUI (not required) you'll see the effect icons as well if you have the settings under the general tab Active Effects HUD minimum time left set to 0.

REQUIREMENTS:SPERG ESM, latest skyrim---The Wind armor version also requires Dragonborn

INSTALLATION- It's only an ESP and a spell toggle script so manual installation is pretty easy, chuck the esp into the skyrim DATA folder, and the spell toggle script in the SCRIPTS folder which is inside the DATA folder, i use MO and it installs as any other mod does into that, i'm not sure about NMM. Load after SPERG

CREDITS:
Thanks to seorin for SPERG
The spell toggle script i got from a tutorial on nexus hosted by allzero, although it's a tutorial a script was also kindly supplied so i didn't see the point of re-writing and compiling it, allzero states that EnaiSiaion supplied the script so thank you to those guys
