What does it do?
Adds dialogue to each of the inn owners in the nine major holds that allows you to purchase private 'Inn Storage' at said inn. That storage essentially works as 'cloud storage' and allows you to access the stuff you put in from every inn in which you have purchased storage. Kind of like your personal chest works in Diablo (at least Diablo 2, never played the others) or in The Witcher (same). The difference is that you need to pay to set the chest up (once), and to access it, you need to rent the room! Boom, uhmmersion. The price can be customized via console (see FAQ).
How do I get started?
Install, activate and go to one of the major holds (Whiterun, Riften, Windhelm, Solitude, Winterhold, Markarth, Morthal, Falkreath, Dawnstar). Go to the local inn and talk to the owner about setting up storage. If the dialogue does not show, save then reload. Pay the owner a sum of gold (1000 by default) and he will set up a fancy chest in the inn's rentable room. You need to rent the room to access the storage.
Is it compatible with mods that change the inns?
Yes.
I have placed the chests in such a fashion that they work flawlessly with both vanilla, as well as with the refurbished inns in 'Expanded Towns and Cities'. There will be no issues with other mods altering the inns as long as they don't drastically change the rentable room's location (which is unwise to do in the first place, because some vanilla stuff depends on it).
