NEWS : Solitude refuge have been finished ... then deleted because I was unhappy with it, then totally remade, then half deleted. It is now 80% finished, and the design fits what I have in mind. None of the NPC have been made, nor the armours, so don't expect a release before two-three weeks.
FR : Le refuge de Solitude était terminé ... et j'ai tout effacé car il ne me plaisait pas, puis je l'ai entièrement reconstruit, en ai effacé la moitié, et maintenant, il est de nouveau terminé à 80%. J'ai finalement arrêté son style. Reste a créer les PNJ et les armures. N'attendez rien avant deux ou trois semaines.
Those who play ESO surely know the outlaws refuges that are scattered throughout Tamriel.
Now, these refuges exist in Skyrim, as thieves guild hideouts. These are tied to the thieves guild questline, each hideout
will be available when the "reputation quest" is complete in one of Skyrim's main town (Quest "imitation amnesty" in Whiterun, "Summerset Shadows" in
Windhelm, "Silver Lining" in Markarth and "The Dainty Sload" in Solitude).
Each refuge feature basic crafting amenities (smithing, enchanting, cooking and alchemy), a merchant/fence NPC, some safe storage (NOT ALL, consider only GUILD CHESTS as safe), several beds for you and your followers, and a few NPC, among wich are some followers. These hideouts could be used as player homes, even if it is not thier main purpose.
Some custom thieves armors may be bought, with special models for each city. Others can't be bought and are typical to one or other NPC. Each custom armor is suitable for male and female, but I work mainly with Outfit Studio so some male armors might be identical to standard thieves guild armors.
Refuges have two entry points : one inside the town, in a remote or hidden part of the city, the second outside the walls. Both will be disabled until the related quest is complete. In other words, both access will appear along with "thief cache" barrels. You could enter and leave the city without being seen by the guards, something very usefull for thieves, especially when having a bounty. A Nocturnal shrine will also appear after completition of "Darkness return" quest.
Currently, Markarth, Windhelm and Whiterun refuges are available. Solitude refuge is in progess. Obviously, Riften houses the Guild Headquarter and don't need another hideout ! Each refuge fits the city's architecture. Whiterun's looks like Jorrvaskr basement, Windhelm's is a nordic ruin (as it is in ESO), Markarth's is a Dwemer ruin and Solitude's will look like a pirate refuge, with outside entrance ... You will see !!
Female NPCs are standalone, use CBBE body, and so do the female custom armors. Male NPCs are Vanilla.
All NPC are thieves guild members, and assaulting or stealing them will run the "reparations" quest.

Ceux qui ont déjà joué à ESO connaissent sûrement les refuges de hors la loi. Les voici à présent dans tout Bordeciel, en tant que refuge de la guilde des
voleurs. Ils sont liés aux quêtes de réputation de la Guilde, et ne deviennent disponibles qu'une fois repris le contrôle de la ville (Blancherive, Vendeaume, Markarth et Solitude). Le QG de la Guilde de Faillaise reste inchangé.
Les refuges abritent tout le nécessaire d'artisanat (forge, alchimie, enchantement et cuisine), plusieurs NPC, dont un marchand (et receleur) et quelques
acolytes, des lits pour les voleurs de passage (vous et vous acolytes) ainsi que des coffres pour stocker vos objets. ATTENTION !! Certains conteneurs se
recyclent, seuls les "coffres de guilde" sont sûrs.
Pour l'instant, les refuges de Markarth, Vendeaume et Blancherive sont terminés et fonctionnels.
WHITERUN thieves refuge :
Four NPC live in this cozy cellar :
- Drowyn, a Nord girl, the merchant, barkeeper and fence.
- Annaïg, a Breton girl, a thief combat mage and follower.
- Caroline, a Nord woman (despite a clearly breton name), a thief spellsword and follower. She is also the leader of Whiterun thieves.
- M'raaj-Dar, a Khajiit thieves. Expert lockpicking trainer.
A "guest bedroom" is available for you and your followers (four beds), with guild chests for your items (storage here is SAFE). The refuge offers all the
basic crafting stations, anvil, workbench, tanning rack, grindstone, arcane enchanter, alchemy lab and cooking spit.
There's also a vault, with several chests, including a tribute chest. All these chests will respawn, don't use them for storage !! The door is locked, and
the key is ... placed on furniture, somewhere in the refuge. As it is not a huge cell, it won't be hard to find this key.
The main access is a small well located behind Ysolda's house in Whiterun. The alternative access (outside the city walls), is the little ruined tower,
just east to Whiterun stables (look at the pics).
WINDHELM thieves refuge :
Four NPC live in this underground village.
- Jeelus-Tei, an Argonian, the merchant, barkeeper and fence.
- Uurwen, a Bosmer girl, a thief follower and archer.
- Shashev Dres, a Dunmer, a thief spellsword and follower. He's the leader of Windhelm thieves.
- Sten Light-Hand, a Nord who's the refuge guard.
... and also Duffy, Sten's dog.
A "guest shack" is available for you and your followers (four beds), with guild chest for your items (storage here is SAFE). The refuge offers all the
basic crafting stations, anvil, workbench, tanning rack, grindstone, wood chopping block, arcane enchanter, alchemy lab and cooking spit.
There's also a vault, with several chests, including a tribute chest. All these chests will respawn, don't use them for storage !! The door is locked, and
the key is ... somewhere in the refuge, near Shashev's shack (easy to find). The custom armor sold by Jeelus-Tei is a sleeveless guild armor, with additionnal fur. Suitable for male and female.
The main access is a small well located behind Clan Cruelsea's house. The alternative access (outside the city), is along the city walls, near south-west corner. Both will be disabled until the related quest is complete.
MARKARTH thieves refuge :
Four NPC live in this dwemer ruin.
- Kaïa, a female khajiit, general goods merchant and fence.
- Corrick, a breton guy.
- Gwenach, a breton boy.
- Jen, a nord girl and follower, leader of this refuge.
... and Scrap, a "tamed" dwemer spider wandering arround.
This refuge feature the same amenities as the two previous (crafting stations, bed for followers, "guild chests" for safe storage). The custom armor sold by Kaïa is a mashup between thieves guild armor and forsworn armor (with a bit of dwemer fashion for ladies).
Main entrance in town is downstairs Vlindrell Hall (market place level), the alternative entrance, outside the city, is behind Salvius farm.
