For Nords, it's all about the combat. Now it's even more epic! This 2016 edition of last year's popular mod enhances melee combat for Nord and Nord Vampire player races (see the video) and adds new powers and abilities. It may be used for new or existing player characters and works for all Nord NPCs, too. It's safe, as no changes are permanent. If you unsubscribe, powers and abilities return to what they were. What's new and improved in 2016:

  • Lesser Powers: New Knockback Attack, Power Lift, improved Battle Cry
  • Abilities: New Crushing Blow, Talos' Blessing, increased Frost Resistance
  • Race Sign: Sign of the Warrior
  • Race Deficit: slight Weakness to Fire
  • Starting Skills: Skill bonus totals for new player characters are increased from +35 to +45
  • Bug Fix: Brawling bug of the previous edition is now fixed

The other is Amazing Race Tweaks Argonian - 2016 Edition. No DLC is required. It's compatible with all Sp0ckrates workshop mods and many others. 1. Description
============

The goal of this series of mods is to make each race truly unique. If a mod doesn't give a race powers and abilities you can't get from any other race, then it shouldn't be called Amazing Race Tweaks! Right? I've enjoyed playing Nords but thought combat should be more, well--legendary! I think this mod accomplishes that goal. I hope you think the same.

New and Enhanced Lesser Powers

Improved Battle Cry: Demoralized foes don't always flee. They sometimes stand and fight, but with less strength. So this power not only has a chance to make targets run away--it also makes those who don't flee weaker, as they lose 50 stamina and magicka! The power also rallies your followers to fight fiercely, as they won't flee and also gain 50 stamina and magicka. It can only be used once every 10 minutes (4 game hours) and cannot be used at the same time as Knockback Attack. Only the player has this power.

New Knockback Attack: Want to have some fun? Knock foes off their feet with a sword, or send them flying into the air with a war hammer! Just activate this power, use power attacks and enjoy the show! Chance to knock foes back or send them flying depends on the weapon used and the One-Handed or Two-Handed perks achieved (see Critical Blow and Knockback Chances, below). It can be used once every 10 minutes (4 game hours) and cannot be used at the same time as Battle Cry. Only the player has this power, because you wouldn't want a follower to send a boss with a quest item flying off a cliff!

New Power Lift: Do you hate leaving loot behind because you don't have the strength to carry it home? Use this power to boost your carry weight by 100! You can even fast-travel while carrying the extra weight. It can be used once every 60 seconds, but only as long as your stamina is not less than 10%. To add realism, your stamina slowly drains as you use the power, so until you level up and increase your stamina, you have to slow down and regain your strength until you can activate the power again. All NPC followers have a Power Lift ability, instead of a power. It gives them a constant +50 carry weight with no cool down.

New and Enhanced Abilities

New Crushing Blow: Automatically makes power attacks more fun, without having the annoying side effect of sending foes airborne when you don't want to. This ability gives each power attack a chance to knock foes down at your feet. This gives you time to attack another for, or lets you have fun hitting them while they're down! If they're blocking when you land a Crushing Blow, they also drop the shield or weapon they blocked with. The chance to land a Crushing Blow depends on the weapon used and the One-Handed or Two-Handed perks you have (see Critical Blow and Knockback Chances, below). All Nord NPCs--followers, foes and those added by mods--use the power, too, but have a much lower chance of landing a Crushing Blow. Also, since most NPCs don't have perks, their chance depends on their level.

Greater Frost Resistance: Resistance to frost damage is increased from 50% to 65%.

New Talos' Blessing: Since Nords take a stand for Talos, he rewards them. Praying at an alter of Talos gives you twice the blessing (40% reduction in cool down time between shouts), which lasts twice as long (16 game hours). Nord NPCs who use shouts get the same 40% reduction.

New Race Sign

Sign of the Warrior: The 2016 editions give each race a sign (a permanent standing-stone ability). This sign lets you learn warrior skills and light armor 20% faster. It stacks with other bonuses, like the Warrior Standing Stone.

Race Deficit:

Slight Weakness to Fire: The 2016 editions also give each race a slight deficit. Nords now have a 15% weakness to fire magic damage.

Starting Skills

Skills for New Characters. Nords now start with: Two-handed: +15. Smithing: +10. Blocking, Heavy Armor, Light Armor, One-handed: +5. Total skill bonus is raised form +35 to +45. Starting Spells remain the same.

5. Compatibilities With Other Mods
==============================

This mod changes only the Nord races, not the Nord characters. So it should work with most mods that add new followers and foes, as long as they don't change the race. It's completely compatible with Alternate Start - Live Another Life. The ART! Khajiit mod will make all races jump higher, so use the mod ART! No Khajiit Jumping Bonus to remedy this. You do NOT have to unsubscribe from this mod to use other mods in the ART! series.
