Hello everybody! This little mod adds a small merchant settlement built around Loreius Farm

The file has been cleaned with TES5EDIT and requires Hearthfire. Please remember that you should always make a backup save before installing ANY mod, in case something goes wrong.

== WHAT ==
Just a tiny town of sorts surrounding Loreius Farm. The map marker has been renamed to Frostfield to avoid having two markers too close together. Just as before, you will need to discover it before you can fast travel. If you've already visited Loreius Farm, the marker will be visible and usable from the get-go.

None of the events affecting the town have been edited. The scripted conversations and such will happen as usual.

Frostfield is meant to be a merchant spot, so all buildings are shops. An apiary and a butter churn are out in the open. There is no player home available and will most likely never be. Some ads are stuck to a wooden panel nailed to a tree, so you can get an idea of what the merchants here do.

For your convenience, a list of the shops, their specialty and their work hours is below.

        > Baldemar's Bits and Bobs: Found at open workshop. Sells Hearthfire building materials, including sawn logs (appear as misc items, base
         value is 8 gold but final price depends on barter skill, as always)
. Works from 8:00 to 20:00.
        > Old Mill: Oleen-Ja is available here all day and night. General merchant and basic fletcher. Buys stolen items, even if you haven't joined
         the Thieves Guild.
        > The Chomping Horse: Functional inn with rentable bunk bed. Offers free Jazbay Mead samples every few days. Has a bathing room,
         compatible with Drink Eat Sleep Bathe. Open 24/7.
        > Jrugrac's Papers of Old: A Dwemer museum of sorts. Books, scrolls and enchanting supplies for sale. Enchanting workstation available.
         Open from 8:00 to 20:00.
        > The Steel Needle: Blacksmith and clothing combo. Gobban works outside by the forge, selling weapons, supplies and armor. Arabella
         works inside, sells clothes and has a mirror downstairs where you can get a haircut (ShowLimitedRaceMenu) for 50 gold. Open
         from 8:00 to 20:00.
        > Sweet Remedies: Lamia is an alchemist who sells potions, poisons and ingredients. Miela sells pastries and sweets added
         by Hearthfire, as well as her special cupcake. Baker's and regular cooking pots available, as well as alchemy burner in a corner
         of the basement. Open from 8:00 to 20:00.

The old grain mill that is originally unusable has been replaced with an activatable version so you can grind flour and whatnot.

As this was something I made for myself, I WILL NOT MAKE ANY CHANGES. I will not add to it or subtract from it. The mod is offered as-is.

== KNOWN ISSUES AND COMPATIBILITY ==
I did some slight tweaking of the navmesh here and there, but in order to remain as clean and compatible as possible the mod makes heavy use of NavCut boxes to alter navmeshes during runtime. This avoids issues with deleted navmeshes, but also means that NPCs can have a bit of trouble navigating the area and may occasionally get stuck.

The mod adds two consumables (a cupcake and a mead). The main file is compatible out-of-the-box with RND - Universal Compatibility Patch. I will not make a dedicated patch for it or any other needs mods. If you want to make one, feel free to do so. You are welcome to send it to me, if you'd like to have it uploaded here -- with credits, of course.

About compatibility with other settlements, I honestly don't know. There are just so many mods that add buildings around Whiterun that it's only natural that real estate is at a premium. So, if you find a problem, please let me know so I can list it here.

This mod is compatible with Higher Magic Thumper's Farm 2 by Rex1029 as long as Frostfield is loaded above it.

== HOW ==
To install, extract the contents of your downloaded file to your "Steam/SteamApps/Common/Skyrim/Data" folder. Then activate the mod through your preferred launcher by ticking the checkbox next to the esp. Or you can use your Mod Manager of choice to download the mod automatically. To uninstall, simply delete the files from your Data folder, and you're good to go.

== FAQ ==
- THIS THING IS TOO BASIC! I DEMAND YOU ADD [insert elaborate game mechanics that would require hours of implementation] OR I WON'T DOWNLOAD/ENDORSE/GIVE YOU IMAGINARY INTERNET POINTS!!
- I don't care if you download this or not. I know I am not enough of a unique snowflake to be the first one to want something like this, so I wanted to share. I designed the mod so it would be very simple, and that's how it will stay. In other words...

- I hate [thing] and [thing] and [thing]! You should have done [thing] and [thing] instead! And while you're at it remove [thing] and [thing] and add [thing] and [thing]! And [thing] is NOT LORE FRIENDLY! FIX THIS!
- You don't get to make demands. If you don't like something in the mod, use the console to disable it, remove it with the Creation Kit or TESEDIT, or sell it off. In other words...

- HEARTHFIRE WORST DLC EVER! Non-Hearthfire version pls!
- No. I wanted the crafting stations, the food and the decoration. In other words...

- Scripts?
- Yes. One to swap the "fake" sawn log with a real one, one for the usable mirror, and another to simply display a message through an activator.

- Why does the mead sample have the VendorItemPotion keyword?
- So you cannot sell it back to the innkeeper.

- I hate things being static! I wanna pick things up!
- There are three main reasons why things are static. First, we all know how fidgety collision is in this game and clutter would be flying around all the time. Second, it would greatly hurt framerate to have so many little things moving around at once and the mod is already rather demanding, with all of the decorations around and all. And third, it gives me much more freedom when it comes to decoration. In other words...

- I'm lagging all over the place! Help!
- I tested this mod on a heavily modded setup, on a mid-range gaming laptop. There are some rather taxing cells, especially the inn in the evening when NPCs are around. So, if you're playing on a coal-powered machine, I'm afraid you may indeed have some performance loss.

- Can I use some of these files on my own mod?
- A bunch of things I'm using are already modder's resources, so just look around the credits tab to look for what you'd like to use. If you cannot find the thing you want there, it probably means I made it myself. Feel free to ask if you're not sure.

- Is this compatible with [insert mod here]?
- If you have a mod that happens to place something in the same spot I did there will be overlapping. If you find any conflicts, please let me know so I can list them here.

- How come the mod looks different in my game than your screenshots?
- I am using several retextures in my own game and my own SweetFX preset, so results may vary.

- The mod is awful/glitchy/buggy/etc. I am going to uninstall it and I must let everybody know!
- Sad to see you go~

- The mod sucks!
- So does a vaccuum cleaner ;)
