Enhanced Steel Sword allows you to customize steel swords by improving their damage, reach, or speed.
The upgrade requires different types of material; to make a Steel Sword 1D (damage increased) requires steel ingots. 1R (range) requires malachite, and 1S (speed) requires quicksilver.
The resulting swords are all temperable.
Version 1.1 adds +2 upgrades. This basically lets you stack 2 +1 upgrades.
"But what do I do?"
Bring a regular steel sword and an ingot based on what you want to upgrade (listed above) to any forge.
The forge should have three recipes for a "Steel Sword +1". In the description box, the HUD will tell you if it is a 1D, 1R, or 1S.
Once you have a Steel Sword +1, you can upgrade it to a +2 the same way. Note, however, that higher levels of a specific upgrade (2D, for example) will require more than just the basic ingot that the +1 upgrade required.
Known issues:
1. For the moment, I haven't figured out how to get PerMa to scale these weapons the way it does the vanilla gear. If someone wants to explain how, that would be great. In the meantime, the stats are scaled roughly approximate to PerMa. If you're using PerMa, this should fit in just fine. If you're not, they may seem OP.
2. The mod currently clutters up the forge menu with the upgrade recipes. A fix has been determined and will be included from the next release onward.
