About this mod

Colorful Grasses and Plants for Tropical/Spring/Summer mods.

Requirements
Permissions and credits
DESCRIPTION:
A mod that makes use of Hoddminir Flowers resources (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/55158/?) to add extra grasses and plants for more colorful and dense foliage in Tropical/Summer/Spring mods.

See images tab for a preview of each download option.

OPTIONS:
* Low - Medium range of mostly yellow and blue flowers. Little or no FPS hit.
* Extra Diversity - A large range of flowers and colors. Slightly higher FPS hit.
* Extreme Diversity - Huge range of flowers and colors. Highest FPS hit. (see Extreme Diversity FPS Improvement Options Notes below)

NOTES:
* Requires Dragonborn and Hearthfires DLCs.
* Installing Hoddminir Flowers is not required. They are included in a bsa to keep your data folder cleaner.
* May *possibly* require the flora/grass textures/models (not tree or esp files) from the summer version of Skyrim Flora Overhaul to be installed first (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/141/?), Untested without it's resources. Someone will need to test without it an let us know if it works fine without SFO. Please let me know in comments if you try it without SFO and it works fine, and I will update this page.
* I made this for my own load order. I can not guarantee it will look right for anyone else. Fortunately everything in here is in a bsa archive, and won't overwrite any of your files - so it is safe to try at any time. Skyrim Flora Overhaul may, however, replace files (if it is needed) - Untested.

EXTREME DIVERSITY FPS IMPROVEMENT OPTIONS NOTES:
You might want to raise iMinGrassSize and/or reduce iMaxGrassTypesPerTexure in skyrim.ini to suit your setup. This version looks good even with very high iMinGrassSize settings.

iMinGrassSize - increases/reduces the density of the grass. Lower values are denser. (I use iMinGrassSize=50).

iMaxGrassTypesPerTexure - will tell it to use more/less grass texture options for each patch of grass. Adjusting this can greatly vary how the grass looks. Feel free to tweak as you like. Changes to this will completely change how it looks for you. (I use iMaxGrassTypesPerTexure=24 although I don't think I added that many types to any of the grass lists).

LOAD ORDER:
I suggest right at the bottom of your load order.

If you, however, prefer the look of an original grass with a particular landmass mod, you could try putting it before that.

CONFLICTS:
There will be no (CTD) conflicts with any other mods. This mod only adds/edits grass lists and will work with anything.

That said, depending on your skyrim.ini settings (see extreme notes and load order above), it may be too dense for some mods.

If you experience any game freezes, set iMaxGrassTypesPerTexure=13 in your Skyrim.ini.
