2017 UPDATE:

In recent times, I realized that this mod could (and most likely does) have compatibility issues with mods that edit the same cell.
In light of this realization some years after the creation of this mod, I have found what I feel to be a better alternative.
This alternative simply adds dragon bones and scales to Belethor's item list.
However this method also has its downsides, again related to compatibility. Anything that edits his particular list of items will conflict and possibly negate anything I add.
So a simple drag and drop installation is not what I would recommend, so I won't be uploading an ESP with these changes.
Instead, I'll do a small tutorial thing to help you do this yourself. =-)

First and foremost, you need to have TES5Edit installed.
Make sure your mod list is set up exactly as you want. This will help you to decide what sort of additions and changes you need to make.
Now the fun part begins.
>Locate and select Belethor's merchant chest (its ID is 0009c1f8, named MerchantWhiterunBelethorsGoodsChest. Should be able to punch that ID into the FormID text box on the top left of TES5Edit.)
>Here you should see any sort of conflict that this record has. For example, in my list I have a merged mod and The Great Skyrim Nexus Overhaul making changes to this record.
>Right-click Belethor's chest, then "Copy As Override Into," scroll to the bottom and check the new file option, hit ok.
>Now if you have any sort of conflicts, you'll need to resolve these yourself, adding any sort of record to your new file that you feel is appropriate. To do so is simple: just mouse over the record you want and drag and drop it into your new file.
As an aside, it will help you greatly if you right-click the right window and choose "hide no conflict rows."
Also make sure that any edits you do are in the Items sub-record. If you do the above and hide no conflicts, this should be the only sub-record you see (but is entirely possible that another mod could make changes in other areas. Just don't be alarmed if you see that sort of thing.)
>You'll most likely get warning messages, just wait for the countdown and click ok a few times. Tes5Edit likes to scare away people who may not know what they're doing (Which is understandable. Editing your game in this fashion can have devastating results if done improperly.)
>As an example, I have three records that needed copied over, two from the Nexus Overhaul, and one from my merged mod.
>Now to add new records entirely. Go to the top where it just says "Items," right-click and then "add." Do this twice.
>Right-click where it says "null" on your first addition, edit, and add "0003ADA3." This will change the null value to that of dragon scales.
>Right-click on your second null record, edit,  and add "0003ADA4." This one now becomes your dragon bone entry.
>We need to set the count for these two records. Otherwise, well, you'll get nothing in-game. =-)
>Select the zero under where it says dragonscales and dragonbones. Simply enter a number of your choice, I like to do five.
>Alternatively if that doesn't work, just right-click, edit, where it says zero, then add the number.

Control + S to save your plugin, exit out, make a mod if you're using Mod Organizer and have it in your overwrite folder, and you're good to go!
Go in-game, test it out, make sure they show up in his item list, and if so, you're golden. Otherwise, go back through these steps and make sure you followed them exactly. I made sure to write this out as I made the changes myself, so the directions should be spot-on.

If you want to learn more about TES5Edit, there are some great videos out there, most notably look into the Youtube channels of FadingSignal, GamerPoets, and Gopher. Also from what I remember, MatorTheEternal has some on TES5Edit as well.

Last remarks.
In theory, I could make an ESP with my changes and have you simply do a merged patch, but to be honest I really can't support merged patches anymore unless your load order is very simple and/or you're fine with having some errors and inconsistencies in your game. In recent times, I've been making my own master conflict patch in place of the merged patch, hence why I wanted to write out a little tutorial. It's the process I use for these sorts of things, and what I would suggest you use if, and only if, you want absolute control over what gets into your game.
Otherwise, stick with the more automated processes. Your game most likely won't break, but your game just may not be exactly the way you want it.

After all, knowledge is power and all that cliche stuff.
Now go out there and not kill dragons! Or... Something.

Original description below:

Hello everyone, here you'll find my first ever endeavor into modding of any kind! As such, it's not at its prime, nor is it feature-rich.
But then again, it doesn't have to be. =-)

This mod does one thing only that I found highly lacking in the modding community: a merchant that will sell you dragon bones and scales.

While probably not very lore-friendly, I found myself wanting to purchase said items due to having a follower mod installed that allowed for more than one follower, making equipping them with dragon scale armor rather annoying. This is because I had yet to encounter large numbers of dragons, and those I did encounter are... Quite challenging thanks to a few mods I've installed.

So this mod, Dragon Bits And Bobs, was born
Originally, I wanted to make it so Belethor sold these items, but found that to be too difficult for me. Instead, I added a new merchant that sells only bones and scales to his shop. Maybe in a future version I'll do that, but for now, I'm quite content with where this mod stands.

As far as the future of this mod is concerned, I'll let you decide. =-)
I'm personally not committed to furthering this mod just yet as it does what I want flawlessly, however if there is a demand for this sort of thing, I'll consider any suggestions you may have.

If you download and give this mod a try, I hope it benefits you!
