    What you see before you is not the latest genre in an underground-music snob's electronic dance music collection (I'd probably listen to it though). In reality, this is primarily a utility patch for STEP-Guide users who are interested in Kryptopyr's Complete Alchemy & Cooking Overhaul but there is also an option if you Simply want the patch between CACO and Radiant and Unique Potions and Poisons HD by XRC. Recently added, at request, is a patch for CACO and Realistic HD Beverages by Halk_Hogan_PL!

    It started as a patch to preserve RUPP's wonderous variety of potion and poison models within the overhauled alchemy world that is CACO. I soon realized there were many more conflicts with other STEP mods so I took it upon myself to resolve these using TES5 Edit. While I was in there I decided it would be beneficial to just combine all the patches STEP mods require, already available on CACO's mod page, into one plugin for simplicity in one's ever-expanding load order.

    I hand-picked almost every model because I had to bridge the gaps with the additional potions CACO adds to the game (and a few vanilla potions, replaced!). This means a few of the models from RUPP were swapped around.
Furthermore, a few of the Standard Poisons / Poison - *(rank 2) will now have the same model as the Weak Poisons / *(rank 1) because the rank 2 mesh from RUPP had clipping issues, and that's how it was released - I'm sure you've noticed.

  • "STEP" patch - This plugin has merged the USKP/USLEEP and Skyrim Coin Replacer Redux patches that are available from CACO, for STEP installers especially. With this, you don't need any of those patches!
    REQUIRES (STEP mods) HF & DB DLC, USKP/USLEEP, CACO, RUPP, CRF, AWE, BCS, SCRR, AOS, IGEF,  as masters!

  • Simply Radiant - Radiant and Unique Potions and USKP/USLEEP compatibility - the STEPless plugin.
    Only requires CACO, RUPP, USKP/USLEEP, and Dragonborn DLC


You may choose to have the CACO_Alternate Names feature (originally by bobbythecamel) baked into your patch, for a logical inventory sorting method, or keep the original CACO names for consumables.
e.g. Vanilla Skyrim: Philter of Resist Cold
       CACO: Potent Potion of Resist Frost 
       CACO_Alternate Names: Resist - Frost III
Also applies to food! Tomato Soup -> Soup - Tomato

Many of CACO's consumables have portions. Alternate Names helps sort these as well!
After you consume a portion, the game removes that item and replaces it with the version of the reduced portion value. Without AN, the name of the portioned item is identical to the consumed one. AN changes the name of the portioned item to display its remaining portions.
i.e. Cyrodilic Brandy-15 (2) means you have two bottles, each with 15 swigs left! Pour another!


All versions require the booze version of RUPP 
Radiant and Unique Potions Poisons and BOOZE.esp

    - it's a master merely because I told it to be (I guess that makes me your master's master!). The booze files from RUPP were used for the models and this patch shouldn't load without those files. If you know how, you may remove this as a master, for a reason unbeknownst to me, the overrides aren't tied to it.


    Frostbite Venom uses the original mesh FrostbiteVenom01.nif. RUPP's texture is too extravagant looking (imo) and the RUPP plugin doesn't force it in to your game, so you can replace it at will. I'd recommend the loose file from 
Realistic HD Beverages  - not to mention the other beverage improvements!
 (why frostbite venom is a beverage, I'll never know  
 and never plan to find out!)

 
    You can use FrostbiteVenom01.nif from RHD Beverages with no further effort - just load it after RUPP and you can use the awesome wine bottles too! However, if you want the Nord Mead, Argonian, Juniper and regular Ales you'll need an additional patch. At request, I've added this patch to the misc. section of the Files tab and you simply need to load it after the original mods and my patch, if you're using it.
If you want to save plugin space: there's only 4 records in this RHD patch and if you know how to copy records into override plugins in xEdit, it wouldn't take long to merge my two patches.


Speaking of load order, you'll need to load my patches after your STEP Extended Patch.esp for full effect!

    STEP Extended Patch.esp is no longer a dependency/master to any of the patches since CACO v1.2 fixed the SMIM Felsaad Tern model's compatibility issues!


Thanks to Kryptopyr for the sorely needed alchemy overhaul and her sweatshop-conditioned patchers cranking these compatibility patches out! 
If Kryp ever finds the time to implement this patch, she's already been given entire control!
The STEP team is welcome to use any of this work if it'll make their lives easier, as well!
