About this mod
Skyproc patcher to create variants of an arbitrary armour with vanilla stats.
- Requirements
- Permissions and credits
Skyproc patcher that takes an existing armour, and creates copies of it for each vanilla armour, including stats, crafting and tempering. It does not produce enchanted versions, or distribute armour in levelled lists (in theory, you could use lootification for that, but I've never tried), as you probably want to either wear the armour yourself, or give it to your companions.
Nominate a set of armour to explode in the options panel. For each armour to explode, for each vanilla armour, create a copy of the original armour (except for the closest matching vanilla armour, where the original is used instead), replace the stats, crafting and tempering recipes on the armour with those of the vanilla armour.
Keywords are copied from the vanilla armour, so matching set bonuses should still apply.
(in no particular order):
- SUM - SkyProc Unified Manager which is very useful if you're using more than one skyproc patcher.
- the nifty skyproc library which was used to make this mod.
I have started an attempt in the current codebase to allow retexturing the armour for each material type, but so far have made little progress. Perhaps it would be best to require explicit support for retexturing in the model armour, or perhaps Dye Manager could be used, and a different default tintmask supplied for the metallic components of the modified armours.
This mod is pure code, and is thus released under the GPL. Please feel free to fix, extend or derive new and interesting things from this, the source code (such that it is) is available on github. You will also need a copy of the skyproc library in order to compile.
