A powerful dragon lurks in the Jerall Mountains.

Find your way through the network of chambers and caves.

Slay the creature and retrieve a dagger of mystic origins.

Anfangrum waits at his snowy mountain temple.

Skyrim.esm & Update.esm are required. None of the official DLC's are needed.

  • Anfangrum's Cleft is located in the Jerall Mountains and is just west of the non passable gate that leads to Cyrodiil if following the main road south from Helgen. It carries the Nordic Ruin map icon and is not immediately visible on the map.

  • I started building one room, 'the pit' which was initially going to be the final boss area. I decided to add a fore cave chamber, sort of a door. The 'door' became the gauntlet. Then the exit area, or 'stairway up the mountain', became a reality. Next came an exterior with a dragon and a forgotten temple holding a nice prize. I also got involved with the lore, created a few books and added them to the game world.

  • To pass the first zone, players need to be a minimum of level 15 maybe higher. Two zones contain a series of obstacles to overcome in order to progress.

  • Most of the enemies are leveled and will scale accordingly to your character but there are a few enemies that will be challenging. To combat Anfangrum, I would suggest a level of at least 30.

  • Included a custom dagger mesh and texture from faxivcm's DaggerCraftPackage. I really like the "Mutilator" dagger as it seemed to fit what I was going for. It is not craft-able but can be improved using silver ingots. It also does not re-spawn.

  • Much thanks to faxivcm for releasing his awesome daggers for all of us to use. I'm crediting him here per his instructions regarding permissions. Please check out his dagger package here on the Nexus at DaggerCraftPackage

  • Many thanks and respect to Dustin Sanborn aka Starrkk for voicing acting, editing his audio tracks, and helping with the dragon script. Please visit his Soundcloud page.

  • Please check out the lovely Hoddminir Runestones right here on the Nexus. And thanks to Ztree for creating the runestones.

  • Above all, I want to thank the Unofficial Elder Scrolls Pages. They have been updating anything and everything in regards to The Elder Scrolls since 1995. The lore section helped me immensely. Please visit them.

  • I need to thank Antony Bellingham for his useful and under viewed tutorials. He helped me tremendously with world-building, navmeshing, NPC behavior, quest-building. His method definitely fits that of a skilled instructor. If you need help, please check out his tutorials.

  • Many helpful tutorials came from Darkfox127 So many video tutorials with in-depth walkthroughs on everything from lighting to worldbuilding, npc behavior, scripting. You need help? He's probably got a video for it!

  • I had a crazy scripting issue and doughamil helped me. This cat knows his stuff and explains quest creation and scripting way better than the creationkit.com tutorial.

  • Thanks to Dhegonus Sky for his helpful tutorials on working with water.

  • Here's a great tutorial on creating a custom book by chronody (Ron).
