This is a texture and mesh replacer for the Heavy Imperial, Penitus Oculatus and General Tulius armors. There is a standalone version as well.
This mod was inspired by Ali Bengali's fantastic Perfect Legionnaire mod using the Heroic Imperial Armour meshes created by rahman530 as modified by hothtrooper44 (many thanks for allowing me to use these).
Version 2.01 is just a small bugfix. I must have messed up the bone weights in trying to fix the clipping issue around the thighs on the male armor. You could not see it unless you looked at yourself running from the side but it bugged me so I felt compelled to fix it.
There is a standalone and a version that only replaced the Tullius and PO armours.
Note: The standalone version will requires Darker Imperial Armor by Fourkillmaster if you want it to blend in.
Features
Replacer Versions:
Replaces:
Heavy Imperial Armor (FULL version only)
General Tulius Armor
Penitus Oculatus
Standalone Version:
Uses the same meshes and textures as the heavy armor cuirass in the replacer version and has the same stats as the vanilla steel armor. Can be crafted or found, let's say immersively, in the cave below Helgen.
Note: The standalone version and Tullius and PO replacer do not come with textures for the heavy imperial gauntlets, boots, shields or helmets and requires Darker Imperial Armor by Fourkillmaster if you want to blend in with the vanilla imperial heavy armor and gear. This is not a hard requirement though.
I did not want to create a third set of what is essentially the same gauntlets, boots etc or a carbon copy of an existing mod.
There is also an optional .esp file which will make General Tullius and the Penitus Oculatus use the heavy imperial gauntlets. This esp is not required to make the meshes and textures work.
Imperial Hero Replacer:
Basically replaces the meshes and textures in Hothtropper44's magnificent Immersive Armors mod. Includes textures for gauntlets, the helmet and boots.
Optional Textures
This mod originally was developed with a scaled back version of the artwork on the chest (henceforth referred to as finery) for the Imperial Heavy, Standalone and Imperial Hero replacer armors. You can opt to download textures with Full Finery in the optional download section.
Boots and Bracers
This just contains altered light and heavy imperial boots and bracers to reduce clipping around the arms and legs. If you don't want a particular mesh changed simply unpack the archive and delete the meshes you don't want use. Repack into an archive zip or rar archive and reinstall with NMM. (MO users can simply delete the files directly in the Mods folder)
Installation
Download one or more of the Main files to your tastes and install with NMM or MO
Install any optional files after you have installed the main file.
Recommended Mods for Overhauling the Imperial Army
Darker Imperial Armor - My own textures for the heavy gauntlets, boots and the regular/officer/fullface helmets are in the FULL version for convenience. A must for the Tulius and PO and Standalone versions. I would install anyway as it covers shields and imperial sword as well. Load before Semper Fi though.
Sleeved Imperials - use this to add sleeves and pants to the other imperial armors. Make sure my mod overwrites the heavy armor assets.
Perfect Legionnaire - A very stylish overhaul of the imperial armors and will add gloved gauntlets too! Just make sure that Semper Fi's meshes and textures overwrite Perfect Legionnaire's.
Note there will be scratches on the heavy gauntlets and the PO breast plate will use the my texture but the pauldrons will be from Perfect Legionnaire.

DIY Textures
In the miscellaneous section of the downloads I have uploaded some resources should you wish to make your own texture if you don't like mine :(
Basically I have created separate layers for the main elements of the armour and you can alter them to your tastes (talking saturation, levels, brightness, etc.).
You will need to download and install GIMP and the DDS Plugin in order to edit the files.
Once your done simply overwrite my textures with the one that you have created.
