Short Description:

This mod augments the Unrelenting Force shout, with the effects of the Dismay shout and the Disarm shout. Along with a few other tweaks.

Reasons why I made this mod:

  • The Unrelenting Force shout has always been my most used shout, but I've always felt that the first two words of the shout were useless.
  • I've always felt that the shout should deal more damage from the impact of the force wave itself.
  • While I acknowledge that there are other mods that change the Unrelenting Force shout, none of them quite satisfied me.
  • The Dismay and Disarm shouts have always interested me, in concept, though I never use them due to not wanting to constantly switch shouts.
  • Realism. If the force wave can send you flying, it stands to reason that you would drop your weapon from its impact, and be frightened out of your wits from the whole ordeal.
  • It's lore friendly, in my opinion.

If you feel the same way, then this mod is for you.

Support for Dragonborn DLC:

  • With the Dragonborn version of the mod, you will now properly receive the benefits of the "Dragonborn Force" active effect, when obtained through the normal way.
  • I have not changed the effects of "Dragonborn Force" in any way.
  • Just a reminder that "Dragonborn Force" increases the damage of "Fus" by 8, "Ro" by 20, and "Dah" by 40. While also allowing "Dah" to disintegrate NPCs, if they're killed by the increased damage.

Features:

Each word of the Unrelenting Force shout has been modified as follows:
"Dragonborn Force", abbreviated "DF" is only available with Dragonborn DLC, after completing the appropriate quest.

Fus:
  • Now does 5 damage (13 w/DF), up from 2 (10 w/DF) in vanilla.
  • Now has knockback force equal to 1/3 of the force of the third word in vanilla. Just enough to knock people down.

Ro:
  • Now does 15 damage (35 w/DF), up from 5 (25 w/DF) in vanilla.
  • Now disarms enemies up to level 15.
  • Now has knockback force equal to 2/3 of the force of the third word in vanilla. Enough to knock people away, but nothing spectacular.

Dah:
  • Now does 45 damage (85 w/DF), up from 10 (50 w/DF) in vanilla.
  • At full power and with "Dragonborn Force" it is now roughly equivalent to the full power Fire Breath shout. (Without Destruction Perks)
  • Now disarms enemies up to level 30.
  • Now dismays enemies up to level 30, for 30 seconds.
  • Now has knockback force equal to 2X the force of the third word in vanilla. Much more violent than before, but not too absurd.

Installation:

  • Just simply download with NMM and install.
  • Or if you prefer a loose file installation, it's a single .esp. Extract from the .7z archive, and drag and drop.
  • Only install one version of the mod.

Known Issues:
  • Any bugs that exist in the original Dismay or Disarm shouts will likely persist in this shout. Such as being unable to disarm an NPC that has its weapon sheathed. Or one who is recovering from the ground. For example; You knock an NPC down with "Fus" and then hit it again with "Fus Ro" while it's still getting back up. It will not be disarmed. Although you can't shout in such quick succession without setting "shoutrecoverymult" to a very low value with the console anyway. So I wouldn't consider this to be a serious bug.

Changelist:

Version 1.3

  • Fixed the vanilla bug that would nullify the knock-back effect entirely, on any weakened NPC that died instantly from the blast.

  • Changed the description of the "Dragonborn Force" active effect, to match the shout.

Version 1.2

  • Fixed a bug that would cause the disintegration effect of "Dragonborn Force" to sometimes fail.

Version 1.1

  • Added a separate version with support for Dragonborn DLC.
