About this mod

There are many hints attached to the Ebony Warrior that suggest Bethesda originally intended for him to be Reymon Ebonarm, the Redguard God of War. This mod simply makes him into the man he should have been!

"He rides into the middle of the blood soaked field and dismounts. He is a very imposing figure. His very tall and heavily muscled body is encased in ebony armor. His ebony helmet does not hide the flowing reddish blonde hair and beard which appear almost as shimmering gold, nor does it shield the steel blue eyes that seem to pierce all they fall upon. In his left hand he carries a massive ebony shield on which is emblazoned a fiery red rose. As he raises his right arm, all see an arm and a magnificent ebony blade which are extensions of each other."
- The Ebon Arm (The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall)

There are many hints attached to the Ebony Warrior that suggest Bethesda originally intended for him to be Reymon Ebonarm, the Redguard God of War. Whether they had a change of mind, or simply ran out of time, this mod restores this forgotten God to his former glory!

In addition to overhauling the Ebony Warrior's looks and equipment, I have also uncapped his maximum level. This means that whatever level you manage to avoid meeting him until, he'll match you level for level!

I did attempt to make Ebonarm available as a follower upon him coming to find you at level 80, but his scripting is too locked down to allow for this. If you would like him to stick around instead of accepting the duel, I'd recommend going to meet him at his campsite and recruiting him with a follower mod that has a 'force recruit' option, such as Amazing Follower Tweaks or My Home Is Your Home.

If you'd like to explore all the links in the lore for yourself, I'd recommend reading the entries on the Ebony Warrior at both UESP and the Elder Scrolls Wikia, but more than anything you should check out the great video by MrRhexx on the subject:

A legal copy of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (obviously) and both the Dawnguard and Dragonborn DLC. Dawnguard is required in order to avoid breaking some leveled lists that appear in both DLCs, and I'm not going to maintain two versions of the mod, so please don't ask for a version without!

This mod will be incompatible with any mod that alters the Ebony Warrior's NPC record. However, since the only one I can find on the Nexus that does this is Ebony Warrior Bugfix by hubrismandibles, I've replicated the fixes from that mod in this one, so you won't need to use both.

There are no special installation requirements - simply install manually or with your mod manager of choice and let LOOT place the mod where it wants!

I've known about the links between the Ebony Warrior and Ebonarm for some time, but I have to give special thanks to MrRhexx for his video that finally prompted me to make this mod (along with reaching level 80 in my current playthough!)

Please refer to the individual mods linked above for permissions to use their respective assets. For the rest of the work here that is my own, please consider it a modder's resource to be done with as you wish. I only ask that you credit me and send me a link to your mod when you upload it so I can see what cool stuff you do with it!

Catch Ebonarm in action during the live streams of my Skyrim playthrough (ongoing since March 2014!) and find links to everything else I do over on my Twitch channel!
