About this mod

A rework of the custom armor of the Companions Guild.

Permissions and credits
- Requiem 2.0 compatible -
The FOMOD installer includes a 1.9.4 version and a 2.0+ version.

- No longer supporting Kryptopyfied versions -
It's just too much work and I don't play Skyrim anymore.  I left version 1.2 on the files page, that is the most recent download that will include Kryptopyfied versions.  No Kryptopyfied versions will support Requiem 2.0+ unless someone else makes them.  That said, if you want to make them, if you send me a link I will link it here.

Have at it:

I haven't played Skyrim in years.  The only reason I published any mods was to give back to the community that gave me so much joy along the way.  My mods, especially the Requiem mods, are almost certainly out of date.  So I'm officially releasing my mods to the community.  If you need an updated version, go ahead an make it.  If you want to take what I've done and roll it into something you are working on, feel free.  If you want to make a translation, please do.  I don't really even care if you cite my mod, just go have fun.  If you are creating an updated version of one of my mods, drop me a message and I will gladly put a link in the original mod page (although I probably won't happen to notice the message for a while, I don't stop by Nexus that often).  Thanks to the modding community for all the fun times.

Description:

This mod reworks the custom armor of the Companions Guild by...
  • upgrading the quality
  • offering light and heavy versions
  • giving the Harbinger a higher quality set
  • creating a unique weapon that can only be crafted by the Harbinger

Here are the specifics...

Armor Sets

  • Upon joining the Circle, you can approach Eorlund Gray-Mane for a set of Wolf Armor.  You can choose either heavy armor or light armor.
  • The Harbinger has a more powerful version of these sets, which he keeps in his personal quarters.
  • Equipping a full set will grant a bonus to armor rating.  A full Harbinger's set will grant a higher bonus.
  • The Companions are well known throughout Skyrim.  Equipping pieces of their armor that you have not earned will cause others to distrust you, damaging your ability to persuade and barter.

Unique Weapon

  • With a high enough smithing skill, the Harbinger can craft a unique Dragonbone War Axe, the Harbinger's Talon, designed to pierce armor.

Requiem Version Only

  • Each piece of armor has a unique enchantment, suited to a powerful warrior.
  • The Harbinger's set has a more powerful version of these enchantments, however some think that a portion of its power has been blocked by Hircine's influence.  Curing yourself from the taint of the Beast Blood will unlock new powers, much more than mere vitality or stamina.
  • With a high enough smithing skill, the Harbinger can craft his armor into a set of Dragonplate or Dragonscale armor.
  • If you want to know exactly what the enchants do for the various pieces of armor, see the Read Me tab.

Bear-skin helmet assets from Call of the North Revisited by Foxia and Khamuy, who get all credit for them.

Installing:

For Requiem versions, make sure to load the mod after Requiem.  For Kryptopyfied versions, make sure to load after his mods.  Any mod that alters the Wolf Armor set will overwrite the changes from this mod, so load this after any such mods.

Installing Mid-Playthrough:

This mod is perfectly safe to install mid-playthrough.  If you are already a member of the Circle, you can go immediately to Eorlund to be given your armor.  Be aware of the Skyrim bug that prevents newly installed mods from adding dialogue; save after installing and load that save to unlock the dialogue with Eorlund.  The wardrobe in the Harbinger's quarters should also hold the Harbinger armor sets after installing.

Upgrading and Uninstalling:

Before upgrading or uninstalling, you should remove all gear from this mod and save.  This is to prevent any enchantments or set bonuses from getting stuck to your character.
