What is the difference between a Dark Elf's, a High Elf's and a Breton's Destruction spell when cast at skill level 100 (barring any other modifiers)? Nothing. The races' skill bonuses become completely meaningless when the skill is maxed out and at that point their only differences are the powers and abilities they possess.

This mod removes each race's initial skill bonus and adds a new ability granting the same bonuses as a constant effect. This means at skill level 100, a Dark Elf's Destruction spell will be stronger than a High Elf's whose spell will be stronger than a Breton's.

View the screenshots to see how the skill bonuses are granted as well as one screenshot showing how the skills are displayed in the skill/perk interface. I set up the skill bonuses to allow stacking, so you shouldn't lose the racial skill bonus after quaffing down potions of Fortify [x] skill.

Installation

Simply drop the ESP into your Data folder (manually or using your preferred mod manager) and activate it


Compatibility

The only records this mod changes are the vanilla race records; all the magic effect and ability records used to grant the skill bonuses are completely new.

I personally use this along with Thats Racist, which doesn't touch the race records so compatibility is 100%. Other mods which touch the race records will require a compatibility patch or to simply push changes from my mod to theirs using TES5Edit.

Note that changes from USKP and UDGP have already been integrated into this mod.
