A simple quest to help a lone farmer might take a dark turn...
Description
This mod adds a (fairly small) quest to the game centered around a (newly added) farmhouse located near Rorikstead. The initial goal is to go help the farm's owner, Joe. This quest's development is dictated by the player's choices and actions.
Features:
- A new quest
- 4 endings
- Choices that matter !
- No handholding here: not all possibilities/choices are clearly marked
- A new npc (non-voiced)
- A new interior and exterior location: the Lone Farm
- New player housing (only the interiors are safe for storage)
- Intended to be lore-friendly story/location
How to start the quest:
There are two ways to start this quest:
- Go to Rorikstead and talk to the innkeeper (Mralki)*
- Go directly to the joe's farm which is located near the road leading into Rorikstead from Whiterun
Installation
With NMM:
- Click download with manager button (in files tab) with latest version (or whatever other version you might want)
- Activate Joe_s_farm.esp
Manually:
- Click download manually and save the .zip file
- Extract all directly into, or in a temporary location before copying/cutting to your Skryim/Data folder (see here for default location)
- Activate Joe_s_farm.esp
Requirements
* Not technically a requirement, but heavily recommended as there are (currently) not voiceovers included with this mod. if you don't have this, the dialogue will not work as intended.
Compatibility
- The addition of a new farm in the gameworld means that any other mods that modify (heavily) the cells where this farm is located will probably end up in conflict with this mod. The specific area is near the road leading to Rorikstead from Whiterun ; the cells concerned are Wilderness (-17,-1), (-18,-1) and (-19,-1)
- The only other possible point of conflict is the slight use of Rorikstead's innkeeper (Mralki) ; in other words any other mod that
remove/change Mralki heavily might end up in conflict with this one
Bugs
- Quest does not start after talking to Joe - (should be) fixed in v 1.0.1
If you run into any bugs or compatibility issues, due to this mod, that are not listed here ; please feel free to report them in the appropriate
forum section.
