Northstar Repose
a player home by RefurbMadness and Kursan

Description
Northstar Repose is a small single-player home. It's basically a single room with two lofts - one for sleeping, and the other functions as a small armory. There's a little hot tub to bathe in, a baking oven, your crafting amenities, and a trapdoor leading from the bed loft to a small "balcony" which gives you a brilliant view of Skyrim's mountains.

Outdoors you'll find, predominantly, the barn which houses your smelter and forge (etc; users of Crafting Requires Tools will find a good amount of resources here, too!), and five beautiful horses with asymmetrical textures courtesy of AlienSlof. In all, there's two stallions and three mares. Beyond the north entrance to the home, if you pay attention to the lights, you'll find a gazebo overlooking the Volcanic Tundra as it fades into Eastmarch and Windhelm.

And it's all follower friendly (at least where navmesh is concerned)!

Location
If you find Clearspring Tarn heading from the north, keep climbing. You'll see the barn first! The map marker is visible to start so you'll have a reference point, but you will need to discover it before fast travel becomes available.

Requirements
Hearthfires - No exceptions.

The following are recommended for utility's sake, but not necessary:

-Convenient Horses and Convenient Horses Herding: Horses will stay where you leave them by default (or return to the stables when you select a new horse), but CH makes managing them pretty cool and you can change their names.
-Spouses Can Live Everywhere
-Followers Can Relax, AFT, EFF, or any other follower mod that lets your companions sandbox. I recommend EFF.
-Let's Get Naked!: Just so your follower isn't getting into the tub with their clothes on. Spouses will do this as well, but I don't know a mod off-hand that lets you undress them (though I'm sure there are many).

Installation
Use Mod Organizer or NMM, OR drop the contents (1 esp and 1 bsa) of Northstar Repose.7z into your Skyrim/Data folder. To uninstall, do the opposite of that.

Changes
-1.01 - Named horses.
-1.02 - Horses will now stay where you leave them. When you select a new horse, they will return to the barn. (Big thanks to fanuilh1 for pointing me in the right direction!)
-------- Horses are now essential, will ignore crime, and do not detect you when stealthed.
-------- Horses now move 25% faster than vanilla.
-1.021 - Cheese board now correctly functions as a container.

Known Issues
-The ground inside the barn...pulses. This has only happened to me. And it's creepy. If it happens to you, let me know. I have no idea why this happens. But if it's a more widespread problem and it bothers people more than it bothers me, I'll look into the whys and wherefores.

-The items on the shelves by the alchemy and enchanting tables can sometimes not be interacted with (the ones that aren't static, I mean). This, conversely, has only happened to Kursan and not me. Again, if this happens to you let me know. There's no collision planes or cubes to interfere so I dunno. BUT I WILL TRY TO FIGURE IT OUT.

-Mannequins. As usual they can occasionally move. Can't do anything 'bout dat. Sorry.

Compatibility
As expected anything which modifies the same area will conflict to some degree. This includes flora mods. Otherwise this mod should be compatible with just about anything.

Mods Used in (most)Screenshots

Q/A
I don't normally do this because it's presumptuous as hell, but I can see some things maybe arising.

-Why stallions??? Because AlienSlof made the meshes that way and I don't see any problem with it. If it bothers you, break out NifSkope and remove the offending parts yourself; that's how I made the "mares". If you need help with this, ask. I don't mind helping.

-No follower beds?! Nope. I originally made this for a follower mod that never saw fruition. It was also primarily made for me. So no follower beds.

-Why no undress script for the tub? Because I don't know how to make a "re-dress" script for NPCs and it kind of bugs me to have them naked all the time. I mean, mi casa es su casa, but come on. Until I discover a re-dress function I just use Let's Get Naked and that works just fine fer me.

-I don't like thing! OK. But seriously see "permissions".

Feedback
Give me it. With a few qualifiers: Huge changes probably aren't going to be made. Requests may be honored depending on what they are so bottom line is "ask". I may say no, but I won't be mean about it. Truth of the matter is I'm very ill and my interest in Skyrim is very low - without Kursan's intervention this mod never would have seen the light of day, even for my own use. I'm not saying this for sympathy, but rather because I do very much want to honor all requests, and the reality is I simply can't, even if they're seemingly small additions. If I agree to do something don't expect it to be done overnight. I will certainly try, though.

Bugs on the other hand, I need to know about. I will try to fix them, but bear in mind if you're reporting a bug that literally nobody else has had, it MIGHT be on your end. Be thorough in your description. Don't just say "GAME CRASH YOU SUCK!" caaaaaaaause that doesn't tell me anything. Well, it tells me I suck, but that's not helpful. That's hurtful. :P No but seriously let me know your woes and I'll try to help.

Special Thanks
Thanks goes to Kursan, an invaluable support and friend, and ultimately the reason this mod is here today. He chose the location, built the barn and gazebo, did the landscaping, and made some changes to the interior. He is as much the author as I am, as far as I'm concerned.
