About this mod

Redguard follower that summons a special blade called "Shehai" in battle. This follower was inspired by a character build blog post and was replicated into an actual follower. Requires the Dawnguard DLC.

This character was inspired by a post made on the Skyrim Blog (link here). About a year ago, I created a character build video featuring the Sword-Singer himself explaining how you can make and play as the character himself. It became one of the most popular builds on my channel, so I decided to create a follower mod out of it as I tried to replicate the features the Sword-Singer possessed. So far this is what this character features:

  • Redguard Follower - Custom and basic face data should be included
  • Custom battle style - Will summon his legendary blade (shehai) as a top priority in battle
  • Shehai - Custom spell similar to Bound Sword; contains a few adjustments in comparison to the bound sword (texture, reach, dmg)
  • DLC - This mod requires only the Dawnguard DLC for the Ancient Falmer Armor he's wearing in the images
  • Leveled - This character is leveled just below the player (0.95 mult).

A note about the shehai spell: It can be used by the player, however I hadn't programmed it for that happen. As far as I remember, I did add a player pov texture however didn't integrate any of the perks with the Shehai spell that the Bound Sword would be integrated with. It can only be given through console as of right now. So any issues to player-usage of that spell is out of my range until I release future work (check Future Plans).

I uploaded two versions of the mod. One puts the character in the Drunken Huntsman, the other puts the character where the White Phial is located. This split shouldn't be something seen in the future. However, I know there are some players who choose to just simply spawn or pick him up instead of completing a dungeon + quest (if not already completed).

If for whatever reason this follower is spawned without clothes, it's most likely due to the fact that you don't have the Dawnguard DLC installed or another mod is causing the problem. This character isn't scripted at all so I don't really see a reason why his spawn would create an issue.



  • Create a quest where you are able to obtain your own version of the Shehai
  • Build a custom dungeon where you can find the Sword-Singer
  • Allow this character to use his special potions and powers without creating issues
  • Scripted + fully voiced dialogue (Looking for someone to do that!)
