True Grit is a name I will be using to release some of my personal game-play mods that mainly alter the variation in NPCs.
This mod is a part of a larger .esp I use to make tweaks to my game, I have decided to start breaking apart that personal .esp and releasing pieces of it.
Latest Update 14th May 2016
- Weapons and Clothing have been split into seperate modules, also added three demonstration videos
Weapons Module

- This adds additional weapons and shields to NPCs in the game to make them have a "Geared Up" look
- They carry shields on their backs and additional weapons at their sides
- Adds to immersion by providing random equipment. Script free. Check pictures to see what it does.
- Currently the following groups have the random equipment added: Bandits, Town Guards, Stormcloaks, Imperials, Forsworn, Dawnguard, Housecarls, Thalmor, Mages, and all NPCs that use Steel, Iron, Leather, Fur armours
- You can kill any of the NPCs wearing this equipment and use it for yourself
- It is simply for immersion and role-playing so they don't add any benefits and don't sell for much
Clothing Module

- All villagers and townspeople now have colour variations of clothing
- I also randomised their item lists to that ... wait for it ... they actually change clothes over time!
Prerequisites
- This requires all DLC (Legendary Edition of Skyrim) - Edits are made to Dawnguard and Dragonborn Armours and Weapons
Installation
- Use Nexus Mod Manager, anything else and you are on your own.
Troubleshooting
- This edits the default outfit lists in the game, if you have another mod that does the same thing just make sure this mod is "lower" in your load order
Credits
- Bethesda for creating some of my favourite games
- BaronDavid for allowing me to use his retextures of the Skyrim clothes. You should go and download his mod as mine does not replace the standard Skyrim clothes, it only adds new variations.
- Darkfox for his awesome tutorials, please check his youtube channel if you are interested in modding
- The Beyond Skyrim team, they are a great community. If you are a modder please sign up and help, then we can all adventure across Tamriel sooner
- Gopher, Brodual, Alchestbreach, Game Classy, and Sorcererdave on Youtube, for keeping my mind entertained whilst doing some of the more repetitive tasks at work.
