Description

Fairly simple mod that allows the Novice, Apprentice, Adept and Expert perks for each of the five magic trees to teach their respective skill level spells. For example, Novice Destruction will now teach Flames, Frostbite and Sparks when picked, and Adept Illusion teaches Frenzy and Rally.

I made this mod because I felt that buying spellbooks was a little unfair compared with the weapon and armour classes not having to spend a single septim to improve themselves.

It's a little cheaty, to be sure, but it doesn't give you everything right away. You still need to put the effort into skilling up a tree in order to be able to choose the perks in the first place. It doesn't give any Master level spells either as I felt that would be going too far. I quite like the need to do the Master level quests first, and buying the Master level tomes makes a lot of sense, plus, hopefully you're rich by then.

You can still buy spell tomes to learn spells 'early', if you wish.

Notes

This mod will only teach default spells. It won't teach any DLC spells and neither will it teach modded in spells. This does mean that it doesn't require any DLC's to be installed.

Also, there is an... unintended (but not entirely unwanted)... side-effect of this mod. That is, if you make a skill tree Legendary and so, reset the perks, you will unlearn all of the spells taught by the perks too. This is true even of spells learned via Tomes before picking the Perks. As I said, it was definitely unintended, but I think it fits with the theme of the mod and so I don't think I'm going to try to fix it.

Versions

I've made a base version that most people will probably want. It simply mods the base game. The second version is for use with Better Magic. It will keep the benefits of using Better Magic, while also making the perks teach spells. Just make sure to load my mod after Better Magic.

Only use one version of this mod. Either the base version, or the Better Magic version. Do not use both.

If you encounter any bugs or problems, please do let me know.

Installation

It's just a standard esp, so for manual installers, it just goes inside the data folder. For users of MO/NMM/etc., you shouldn't need to do anything special to install it.
