About this mod

Modified version of EM - Expanded Arcaneum for use with SPERG perk trees. Adds touch spells to destruction, new necromancy spells, new expert level daedra summons, scrolls for all spells, scroll crafting and more!

Requirements
Permissions and credits
This is a modification of Empowered Magic - Expanded Arcaneum for use with SPERG. It makes the following changes:

  • New Destruction Spells: Fire Touch, Frost Touch, Lightning Touch. Apprentice touch spells which deal more damage, but cost more magicka.
  • New Necromancy Spells: Conjure Skeleton Warrior and Conjure Skeleton Archer. Apprentice. Conjure Corrupted Shade. Adept.
  • New Atromancy Spells: Conjure Dremora Warlock and Conjure Dremora Archer. Expert.
  • New Alteration Spell: Featherfall. Apprentice.
  • Added Scrollcrafting Stations, where the player can craft Scrolls with Soul Gems, Paper Rolls and Ink.
  • Paper and Ink can be crafted at the Tanning Rack and Cooking Pot respectively.
  • Scrolls are much more common in vendor inventories, and as loot. They are also worth significantly less gold to make them affordable.
  • Scrolls for several spells that didn't have them. Attached magic effects to scrolls and staves where they were missing.
  • Adjusts special scrolls added by SPERG. Adjusts duration of Shalidor's Insights so they last as long as the special scrolls added by SPERG.
  • Spell Tomes are now twice as expensive.

Requirements:

  • SPERG: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/24445/?
  • Dawnguard DLC, Dragonborn DLC

Scrollcrafting:

To craft scrolls you must know the spell of the scroll you're trying to craft.
Scrollcrafting Stations are located in Dragonsreach, the Blue Palace, the College of Winterhold and Tel Mithryn.

Novice Scrolls x3: x3 Paper, x1 Ink, x2 Petty Soul Gem [Filled]
Apprentice Scrolls x3: x3 Paper, x1 Ink, x2 Lesser Soul Gem [Filled]
Adept Scrolls x2: x2 Paper, x1 Ink, x1 Common Soul Gem [Filled]
Expert Scrolls x2: x2 Paper, x1 Ink, x1 Greater Soul Gem [Filled]
Master Scrolls x2: x2 Paper, x1 Ink, x1 Grand Soul Gem [Filled]

Paper can be crafted with Firewood at a Tanning Rack. Inkwells can be crafted with Mountain Flowers at a Cooking Pot. I recommend Harvest Overhaul for the ability to turn Ruined Books into Paper and Nordic Barnicles into Inkwells.

Wyrmstooth Parity Patch:

Optional parity patch for Wyrmstooth which overwrites the Mudcrab and Skeleton summons with Conjure Skeleton Warrior and Conjure Skeleton Archer, overwrites all of the Conjure Draugr tomes with a more balanced Conjure Draugr Thrall tome, rebalances Conjure Dragon Priest so the darn thing doesn't have 3x the health of a Dremora Lord and adds scrolls & scroll crafting recipes for several spells. I've also added Cure Poison, Cure Disease, Ease Burden, Night Eye and Fade Other to vendor inventories. You'll still have to find Conjure Draugr Thrall, Conjure Dragon Priest, Call of the Wild, Call of the Dead, Transmogrify and Ice Volley in Wyrmstooth though. Various other tweaks for parity and to make the spells added more balanced.

Apocalypse - Spell Package Parity Patch:

Optional parity patch for Apocalypse Spell Package 8.02 which doubles the value of spell tomes, significantly reduces the value of scrolls and adds scrollcrafting recipes for Apocalypse scrolls.

Undeath Parity Patch:

Optional parity patch for Undeath which doubles the value of Undeath spell tomes, adds scrolls with EM crafting recipes for Undeath spells and changes poison spell distribution so that they're correctly distributed as Restoration spells instead of Destruction spells.

Recommended:

  • Mage Apparel Overhaul: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/56041/? - Makes mage apparel better and adds enchanted mage apparel to loot and levelled lists.

  • Wintermyst: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/58635/? - Awesome, balanced enchantments.

  • Immersive College of Winterhold: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/36849/? - Best CoW mod on the Nexus, imo.

  • The Ruins of Winterhold: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/36883/? - Makes Winterhold look more interesting.

  • Mage Robe Textures by Rafuel: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/users/5657210/? - Best robe retextures on the Nexus. Highly recommended.

  • Konahrik's Accountrements: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/32458/? - Great for any aspiring Sorcerer / Battlemage / Spellblade.

  • Harvest Overhaul: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/16553/? - Turn Ruined Books into Rolls of Paper and Nordic Barnicles into Inkwells. Recommended for Scrollcrafting.

  • Possessive Corpses: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/4528/? - Makes reanimated undead no longer turn to ash upon death so you can reanimate them again. Also includes some improvements to performance.

  • Apocalypse Spell Package: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/16225/? - Adds ~160 unique spells, most of which have their own unique visuals.

  • Corpse Preperation - True Necromancy: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/35378/? - Prepare corpses to turn them into permanent thralls, including Skeletons, Zombies, Mummified Thralls and Ancestor Guardians and traffic black souls to the Ideal Masters in exchange for greater necromantic powers. The thralls created do not count towards your summon limit, and you can have as many as three with all of the perks unlocked.

  • Better Wards: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/22057/? - Improves wards so that they follow a linear progression instead of becoming progressively less efficient, reduces casting cost and adds a chance based stagger. Make sure to download the 'No Perk' version.

  • Staff Enchanting Overhaul: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/63258/? - Enchanted staves scale in magnitude with your Enchanting skill. Only works with vanilla staves, I'm afraid. I use this without Apocalypse.

  • Mark & Recall Spells: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/8088 -  I use the 'Alteration only' version. Apocalypse has it's own Mark and Recall spell so not recommended to use this with Apocalypse.
