Permissions and credits
NPC Perks and Spells

No Requirements, Just Skyrim 1.9 (Current Version).

Included are Dummy NPC’s listed by Perk Classes. The Magic Classes have spells usable by Followers.

If you are like me and can’t remember what perks belong to which class and what spells are what, then this will help.

Perks, lots of Perks, so many perks; who can keep track of them all?

Pop Quiz; What Perk Class does Sweep belong to?
A.Block
B.Alteration
C.Bar Maid
D.Two Handed
E.Conjuration

The answer is D. Sweep is a sideways attack that strikes everyone in front of you with a two handed weapon. If you answered C, slap yourself. This is why I made these dummy characters.

First make a backup copy of the mod you are altering, so that you have something to go back to if anything goes awry.

Example: To give an NPC Sneak Perks. Open Creation Kit (CK), File - Data and select NPC Perks and Spells.esm, then find the Mod you are editing and set it as Active, click [OK]. Wait, Wait, [Yes to All], Wait some more...

Open the NPC you are editing and select the Spells Tab.
Open 00_Dummy_Sneak. Spells tab.
Right click over the listed perks and select Copy Stack.

Important: Close the Dummy NPC with [Cancel]. If you hit [Ok] the Dummy NPC will be in your mod and may cause problems. Make sure you use [Cancel] to close the Dummy NPC.

Back to the NPC you are editing. Right Click over perks and Paste Stack. Now your NPC has all the Sneak Perks, just delete any perks from the list you don’t want. Rinse, repeat, for the other Perk Classes and Spells.

I have not included some perks, Smithing, Enchanting, Alchemy, etc., because followers don’t use them. If there is demand for something I missed then I will consider an update.
Followers will not use some Spells, Magelight for example and healing spells that target another player. I have left these out on purpose. If I missed something that you know a follower will use, let me know and I’ll update the mod.

When you are complete editing your Mod; Save and Exit Creation Kit.
You can now safely delete -NPC Perks and Spells.esm- from your mod.
To do this open CK, set your mod to active, in the list of required files select - NPC Perks and Spells.esm - and Ctrl-Delete.

NPC Perks and Spells.esm will no longer load with your Mod, but the perks and spells you selected for your character will remain. If you crash on launch, you failed to follow the instructions and placed a dirty edit in you mod. Remember to always close the Dummy NPC with [Cancel]. You can remove mistakes with TES5Edit.

There is no need to activate NPC Perks and Spells.esm in Nexus Mod Manager as, if you followed the instructions, it will not be necessary. IF you experience Crash on Load, check the mod to make sure you actually removed the NPC Perks and Spells.esm file and that your follower mod contains no dirty edits.

You can use this mod as you will, no need to credit me.

Enjoy…

Credits.

I put this together in Creation Kit using as a reference;
