SIMPLE WATERWALKING

Tired of being swept away by the rivers of Skyrim? Need to get across a body of water with no bridge in sight? Do you have Frostfall installed and need to head out into the Sea of Ghosts without freezing to death? Then this mod is for you!

THIS MOD IS NOT YET AVAILABLE FOR THE SPECIAL EDITION!

THIS MOD WILL NEVER BE AVAILABLE FOR CONSOLES!

This is a simple Batch file that will add a pair of weightless shoes with a waterwalking enchantment to your inventory. No plugins, no requirements, no worries. Just drop it directly into your Data folder and go!

The instructions for activating the file are included in the download. Just unzip the file, and they'll be right there waiting for you.

I primarily made this file as a workaround to a strange bug I encountered from a different mod. Every time I exited a building from that mod, it would drop me right into the river. Since I have Frostfall, getting dumped into the river in The Pale means certain death, so I used the console to add a waterwalking enchantment to a pair of shoes. I put the shoes on before going outside and viola! I ended up on top of the river, warm and dry. As I continued to play, I realized that hey, maybe other people could get some use out of this! And thus, Simple Waterwalking was born.

+DO NOT USE ANY KIND OF MOD MANAGER TO INSTALL!+
This mod is a batch file, so there are no esp/esm or bsa files. You activate it using console commands.

General instructions for activation can be found here.

Specific instructions for each file are included in their respective downloads.

LOOKING INTO THE FUTURE

I made this file on a whim and mentioned it to a fellow Skyrim playing friend, who suggested that I eventually expand to adding the enchantment to other wearable items of clothing. So sometime in the future when I'm not as busy, I'll be sitting down to add Simple Waterwalking to light (added 4/5/2015) and heavy (added 20/5/2015) armor, other clothing, and, if people would like it, jewelry.

I'm home from college for the summer, so until August updates should be fairly regular as I have more time to work on writing out the code. My process involves writing everything out by hand, figuring out how to divide it up into well-organized chunks, then typing, organizing, and uploading the .txt files. Surprisingly, the handwriting part is the fastest.

Don't yell at me if updates are slow; I'm a busy woman with a full-time job, college work, and ADHD. It's a wonder I ever manage to get anything done.

3/4/2016: Hey all! If you haven't noticed, I'm back after a long hiatus! My copy of Skyrim broke, so I couldn't make and test any of my batch files. Things are up and working again, and I actually know how to make ESP files now! However, in the spirit of my roots, this is going to remain BAT only. I will eventually get around the adding the final files, so hang in there!
