Version 2: Now shows the undead leaving a scent trail too
OVERVIEW:
Predator Vision - Scent Trail. Gives a visual effect that looks like all animals, the undead, and npc's are leaving a scent trail as they move, which is visible through walls, rocks or vegetation (because its a smell) and warns you that something is on the other side.
Because it doesn't boost the colour or brightness of the creature or scenery you can have the effect turned on all day. This makes the effect unobtrusive, but still gives you a warning that something is up ahead. Also, it doesn't give you an outline of the creature's body shape so you still have an element of surprise. For instance, you can tell that something is on the other side of the rock, but you don't know if it's a bandit or a bunny.
Make sure that in the MCM menu you have colour and brightness set to zero so that the surrounding scenery is not too dominant. Although at night you may want the brightness. Your choice.

In these two screen shots you can see the scent that Sofia is creating (orange vapour) as she stands still, then as she moves away you can see the trail of scent she left behind. The scent trail lasts for about 5 seconds. As it is a visual representation of a scent, it is visible through trees, rocks and walls, just like you would be able to smell something that was coming from another room of your house eg. cooking, flyspray, toilet aromas :)

INSTALLATION & SETUP:
Download with manager.
In game, inside the MCM menu go to the Settings section and change Predator Vision Brightness to 0% and change Predator Vision Color Boost to 0%. In the Cheats section turn on Give Character Predator Vision. After exiting the MCM menu you can turn on/off the scent trail effect with the "B" key.
Obviously, because this is just a slight modification of Gopher's original Predator Vision Mod you can't have both installed at the same time.
TECHNICAL:
I went into Creation Kit and changed GophersThermalVisionSpell by deleting the two effects that make you and other characters glow. That just leaves the one effect, Thermal Heat Trail, but I also changed its area to 250. Then I went into ThermalHeatTrailFXS and changed a few setting to make it glow less. Changed Full Particle Birth Count to 20. Changed Persistant Particle Count to 15. Changed Particle Lifetime to 4.000 +/- 2.000
CREDIT:
This is Gopher's mod and he deserves full credit. I only made the small changes mentioned in the "Technical" Section above.
